Alright. About a month ago I announced that I was considering voting for Sanders in the primary to block Hillary. After seeing Hillary's racist comments about black children being "superpredators" my disdain for that broom rider reached critical mass. So my plan was to vote for Bernie in the primary and whoever the GOP nominee is in the general election. That way I'd get to vote against Hillary twice. Yeah!

So I told my hot girlfriend about my idea, that I was voting for Sanders even though I don't support his policies. Now the broad already knew I didn't like Sanders policies. We had already argued about that. But being the typical (insert sexist language here), she just couldn't be satisfied with me supporting her candidate for pragmatic reasons and not his bat guano crazy ideas. So she asked "You don't like any of his ideas?" as if we hadn't argued about that already. Well that led to another argument where she just had to get off the phone. So now I'm pissed. So now I'm not voting for Bernie. Hillary is dangerous for who she is. But Bernie is dangerous for who he attracts. They really are zealots. I still hope Bernie somehow beats Bernie but I doubt that will happen. I can't stand any republican left running. I may flip a coin between Cruz and Carson but will probably end up voting for Cruz. This is mostly to spite all of the Trump supporters around here. Cruz supporters haven't pissed me off as much as Trump supporters. And Carson supporters haven't been a bother at all. (A few white Carson supporters said I look and talk just like Ben Carson. I guess we still all look alike.)

Trump will make Canada great again.

The only way i could vote for a socialist is if it was the only choice and it was in order to keep on living.

Funny thing Hillary calling other people super predators. She needs only look in the mirror, and she sleeps with a sexual one.

You keep saying you were going to vote for so-and-so because that would be a vote against so-and-so.

I say see if you can actually find someone to vote for. And if you can't, don't vote for nothin'.

The stakes for me are too high to sit this one out or to just doing the principled 3rd party votes I did in 2008 and 2012. I might have done that had Rand stuck out the GOP nomination. I understand why he didn't. But I also understand that if he can be pragmatic so can I. For those who still feel the need to be purist you have my admiration and moral support. I'm not at all saying what you should do. Just thinking outloud about what I'm going to do on Super Tuesday and later in the general election. God bless 'Merika!

The stakes for me are too high...

What difference do the stakes make when, as Paul Simon sang, any way you look at it you lose?

That's like some mafioso trying to make you choose whether your home is bombed or burned down after you don't pay your protection money. Fuck you! None of the above is my vote, and I'm sticking to it!

Whaddaya gonna do if I don't play this head game with you? Both blow it up and burn it down? So?

Stick to your guns. More power to you! We all have to make our own choices and decisions. Isn't that part of "liberty" as well? Making your own choices? In terms of choosing a bombing or a house being burned down, well bombs cause collateral damage so I'll choose the house fire thank you very much.

John McAfee's current campaign logo as a candidate for President in 2016. McAfee 2016. M-16. :D

John McAfee as in the guy that wrote the anti-virus software? Might as well vote for him. He actually could shut down the Internet.

The stakes are actually incredibly low. Your one vote is statistically irrelevant.
That said I like your first idea better and have pondered doing the same. Then you can tell your girlfriend that you voted for Bernie because reasons and maybe get some hippie lovin.

I liked Carson also, until he blew threw 20 million in about three weeks. Let's face it, we're all pretty much f'ked now that Rand left the race. We were left in a life boat with no preserver.

jmdrake, you always seemed like such a rational fellow, until you showed up here looking for advice like your vote means jack shit.

It doesn't.

I'm doing the best thing I can this cycle. I'm refusing to participate. And I know a lot of people who are going to get really upset with me for not participating. That's my new education campaign: I'm not playing anymore, and if you want to know why, I'll tell you.

You call your girlfriend a broad? Seriously? Does she know that?

Please tell her now, because you are not husband material.
