Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke criticized the debt ceiling as an unusual device that can be used to prevent the United States from paying it’s bills, as he suggested that the country would be better off if the debt limit did not exist.

If that quote doesn't make it obvious that Bernankes plan is nothing short of the collapse of our precious fiat currency, I don't know what can.

I think you're right, but it is even worse than either of us describe. His own delusion perpetuates further delusions in other people, like members of our Criminal Corporate Congress. And they wonder how they get themselves a 9% approval rating...
