In my in box this morning. It is from Retake Our Government, forwarded from a TEA Party located in Bentivolio's district. Thought you might like to see it:
he Republican Establishment vs. The Tea Party
ROG received this from our good friends at Lakes Area Tea Party in Commerce Township. It is further illustration that there are many Republican insiders who are more concerned about preserving their power than they are about preserving the United States of America. It is up to us to kick these insiders out of office.

Remember to vote in the August 7th primary! The primary is where we have a say in who our choices are on the ballot in November. Your vote counts AND is needed!
You are probably receiving candidate postcards and calls daily. Read and listen, BUT do your own research. Some contain outright lies and are purposely misleading. It was a couple of those cards that prompted this email.
*Also, at the end of this email, is a short note regarding a statement made at our last meeting about the republican and democrat party chairmen.
But first, about those cards....
Remember when the Tea Party first came to be? Remember how we said that we wanted REAL people to represent us in government? Unfortunately the recent 11th Congressional District write-in campaign debacle is an example of why we don’t have many ‘real’ people representing us. There are ‘confabs’ (their word) attempting to control the process.
While the write-in process is a legitimate path to the ballot, the reason it occurred is what must be understood. Some of those involved claimed that the write-in was necessary in order to ‘give a choice to traditional republican voters’. Please note that over four dozen other republicans will appear on the Aug. 7 ballots in Oakland County with only ONE republican running... yet, oddly enough, no one seemed concerned about offering a ‘choice’ to the republican voters for those positions.
According to these republican ‘somebodies’, who joined together in choosing one write-in candidate for the 11th congressional race, -Kerry is not a viable choice at least in part because “..He is too outside the mainstream Republican Party. Bentivolio is a high school teacher, veteran and reindeer farmer, who is aligned with the tea party and liberty movements.”
“IS ALIGNED WITH THE TEA PARTY AND LIBERTY MOVEMENTS”. What does that tell us? That should scream to us, loudly and clearly, that ANYONE involved in putting Nancy in the race for the 11th District is afraid of TEA PARTY and LIBERTY minded candidates because they know these candidates will stand up for We the People, not tow the party line when the pressure is on.
And now Nancy has based her campaign on LYING about Kerry Bentivolio! The ads go so far beyond ‘negative’ – they are rubbish – they are libelous!! She quoted Kerry as saying that he wants to remove federal agents from our borders... oops... she forgot the REST of that sentence...What Kerry actually said, was, “I support elimination of Federal Border services and replacing them with elements of the U. S. military.” She accused him of being for amnesty! Another blatant lie! She has made one false accusation after another in hopes of ‘winning’ by destroying the character of a man whose ONLY reason for running this race was to PROTECT the citizens of the 11th District from more cronyism in D.C.!!
PLEASE go to Kerry’s website. Read about his TRUE positions on amnesty, the military, our constitution, etc..www.bentivolioforcongress.com and then decide.
If you have not already met Kerry, please attend a Tea Party or other event where he will be speaking. You will be refreshingly surprised to hear a candidate talk about principles, morals, the constitution, and God! Go up and talk to Kerry. You’ll find a very likeable, real person with a passion to save our country and willing to put himself out there among the political cannibals!
Kerry Bentivolio, a REAL person. He is a history teacher who holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree. A veteran with a 27 year military career who served in 3 wars, at home and abroad. Kerry is a real person who has had the real ups and downs of private enterprise. And yes, he is a reindeer farmer – whose reindeer pull him in his sleigh, dressed as Santa, thru the village of Milford much to the delight of children of all ages!
Nancy was ‘hand-picked’ by a small group of republicans because they wanted a choice in the 11th district after the McCotter ballot fiasco. (Note that none of them were committed enough to run against McCotter when they thought he was on the ballot.) She was picked for 2 reasons – 1) She has the deepest pockets of any of the politicians who were interested in the write-in candidacy, offering up over $200,000 toward her campaign, and 2) Name recognition, although her record in Lansing proves that she has been one of the ‘establishment’ republicans throughout her career. So some have decided they do not want a constitutional representative to win a seat in D.C. and chose Nancy who would happily vote as she is told.
Whoever you vote for, make sure you are voting because you like the truth, not because you don’t like the lies.
*At our last meeting a comment was made that the Republican and Democratic Party chairmen were making a deal with regards to who will be on the special election ballot in September for the old 11th seat vacated by McCotter. This was based on an article in the paper that day which indicated that this was a good thing because it would save the taxpayer’s money. However, there was NO DEAL in the making. Republican Chairman, Bobby Schostak, said that never happened and that the article was the first he had heard of it. MRP doesn’t get involved in local primary races and this is no different. After the primary the party will wholeheartedly back the winner going into the general election. And Democrat Chairman, Mark Brewer, sent out a tweet saying that there wasn’t any such deal.
