Ben Swann interviews Rand Paul

How could any liberty advocate not feel good about what Rand is doing and planning?

I don't know. I feel pretty terrible that he's advocating the continuation of social security and medicare "in perpetuity," wants everyone to contribute to paying taxes, and introduced a bill to give back door approval to drones here in America while claiming he's somehow limiting their use.

The thing is, any Senator who suggests getting rid of SS and Medicare right now, will be shot out of the water. Regarding taxes, as long as we have them I agree that everyone should have to pay something. Why wouldn't they? If enough people get ticked off about paying them, then they might finally take a stand.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled with his bill, amendment, or whatever it was, about drones. It looks like he's trying to improve the law that is already on the books, but I would have rather it go a lot further. Like no drones at all on American citizens. But, maybe he thought it wouldn't pass and is going to attack it incrementally. I've thought about calling his office and asking, but I haven't yet. Have you, by chance?

I think it's great that Ben gets to interview Rand Paul on his show. The guy has done so much for the movement, it's nice that we can help his career a bit with a high-profile interview that would normally never happen.

I haven't. I need to type something up and essentially read it when calling, otherwise my anger might get the best of me on the call.

This was good. I'd like to see Ben interview Ron sometime too.

Maybe you are letting your emotions override your clear thinking? Seems like a lot of people are doing that right now.

No, but I'll get heated pretty quickly if justifications are made for sanctions, jailing people who attend radical speeches, etc.

Rather than freeforming a convo, I'd do better with a prepared speech of talking points to stick to.

It's more like people are letting Rand's last name override clear thinking on the both his record and this endorsement.

Voting for an unwarranted act of war, writing a bill that gives legal backing to drones within the US, and endorsing a blood-thirsty war-monger on TV are not things that move us toward liberty.

These are things that subvert the movement - the reason it grew and picked up steam is because it was pure (yes past tense now) in its defense of liberty. Trusting lairs and cheats and hoping they don't lie or cheat is a failed endeavor before it even begins.

Audit the Fed. It is amazing that our elected officials are questioning the wisdom of auditing the bank that prints our money. The vote should be 100% yes. Of course the bank's books should be looked at. The real books. It's amazing that it is even a question in the 21st century.

I think a lot of us are. There is the side that is illogically over-reacting about Rand's endorsement (it is what it is, what's done is done), and there is the side that illogically thinks this plan is actually going to work, even though "infiltration" and "being a team player" never has worked in the past.

Infiltration always works through persistence. Sure there are traitors who will undermine it, but the reason that Thomas Jefferson's model is not enjoyed by Americans today is because the Marxist movement infiltrated the Liberty movement.

Romney will push a weak Audit the Fed and will sadly dupe some.

Romney won't cut 1 department, wants more wars, more SS and medicare.

If you want this you will need printing press from FED. I'm sure some RP fans will get duped because the hack Rand Paul is pushing Mitt Romney everywhere he goes now.

I know you know this Travlyr, but auditing FED in a weak bill does jack if mentality of gov doesnt change

Absolutely. An audit will accomplish nothing because the audit will be done by insiders. It is much like "Unemployment is 8%."

But it simply proves how well the public indoctrination system has worked. In a normal world one would never just "trust" someone to keep their money safe without checking in on them from time to time to make sure.
