I don't have a Magic 8 Ball but my best guess is that the campaign will continue to pimp this and maybe another money bomb, while hoarding cash (this was alluded to in the e-mail). The campaign will be dismantled and key personnel and the cash will be transferred over to Campaign For Liberty and then the campaign will tell us they did the best they could in the face of impossible odds, that we are "winning" without every qualifying what their definition of winning is, thank everybody, and we'll see Rand in 4 years.

Time will tell if I'm right.

Wow, the defeatest attitudes in here is quite honestly, sickening. Where is your intestinal fortitude guys and gals? Where is your inner strength to persevere? This is not a sprint, but a marathon. We're on a quest to not only chenge the GOP, but to change the country. Of course there are going to be highs and lows along the way, BUT WE MUST STAY THE COURSE. Interestingly enough it was the conference call coordinator of the jewish war veterans Chapter in Bergen County NJ for anybody who wants to know where they came from along with the RNC cocaine mafia NYC.. This was the campaign setting this up not the blackout media. who needs enemies when you have the ron paul campaign doing it for them. What has happened by the campaign in the last few days is all caused by them not us. john tate and benton just need to shut up. I think jessen benton and john tate must know liberty74 and doing everything they can to demotivate us.

If true, then let's have at them. We have the numbers. We need somebody to go talk to Benton to get the inside scoop. It is really out of the campaign's hands what we are doing right now with the delegates in the states.

Let's make sure we protect our main asset in going forward.

That's what we did in Colorado when Benton and the local coordinator tried to sell out our entire CD. We decided to promote a Ron Paul slate, instead of the Santorum only slate they wanted to give us (hard core anti-Paul people). The coordinator (Matt Holdridge) reluctantly agreed to support us, and even came down when we voted for who would be on our slate and promised he wouldn't interfere. Then at the CD, he told volunteers that we surprised him with this betrayal and he had them follow us around telling people that we were running a fake slate on behalf on the Romney campaign (despite the fact that our slate was the only one out there with any actual Ron Paul supporters on it). The author of the plan to sell us out (a Rand Paul supporter from another CD) later stepped up and admitted that he did it in conjunction with Benton. So yes, do it on your own, but watch your back at all times.

Was this the grassroots slate? I saw the santorum/paul slate, and then went asking around and found a Paul supporter with the grassroots slate. I was shocked and pissed at the same time that I didn't know about this in the first place and had to ask for it.

To this day, I still don't know what happened and why we were so uncoordinated in Colorado.

What is going on with the Ron Paul Campaign?

The national media got the story wrong about Paul "dropping out" but then comes an email from Jesse Benton to supporters. I have been forwarded this email and asked to explain it. Frankly, I cannot.

I will continue to look into the issue but the bottomline is that the delegate fight IS going to Paul, so why back down? Staying humble and keeping your head down during the fight makes sense. Sending your supporters a note to say, "We aren't going to win but keep sending us money!" That doesn't compute.

Also, why would Jesse Benton be using the AP delegate count? I don't have any insider information, but I will start digging. If you have insider knowledge.. hit me up

I wondered about Benton using the AP delegate count too. That was CLEARLY massaging facts, and he knows it, and we know it, and he has to know we know he knows.

Of course Campaign for Liberty will be back and likely the Paul circle will go there at least until Rand's campaign, although some might become staffers for Rand. That is a given and it happening will have nothing to do with whether the campaign is 'pimping'. The grass roots have been promoting the money bomb and the campaign is responding. It isn't their moneybomb. If they wanted to pimp this they wouldn't be saying they are scaling back in primary states. They are purposefully letting the air out of the balloon as much as they can. It will only work with soft support, but that is what you need for primaries so I really wish they hadn't, but there is is.

Well, ponder this for a minute folks. How many days after Ron Paul had his meeting with Fed Chairman Benarke did all this shit start to unfold? Could there have possibly been some threats made at that meeting if Paul n company didn't back down that some "accidents" were going to start happening? This is all speculation of course, but the timing does seem to follow the timeline if you ask me. But they knew this would happen if we got close to winning. You're absolutely right with your entire post. And, what's worse, the media (at least the WaPo) has made us out to be deranged at getting upset at Benton's e-mails. They make like the campaign is just being realistic and we're delusional. What they won't acknowledge is that WE ALREADY KNEW WHAT WE WERE UP AGAINST!! and we see the e-mails for what they really are....capitulation in the face of success. And Jesse's constant reiteration of 'being respectful' is an allusion to what happened in AZ that is a total mis-characterization that amounts to throwing the grassroots under the bus.

Ben Swann and Larry Sinclair both seem as perplexed over the Benton move as any of us are. Are they delusional, too? I've seen many references to "The Art of War" like this is some grand plan. Now THAT is delusional. The fact is that we are left to pick up the pieces of a beautiful thing that Benton smashed under his boot.
