I love how Dr. Carson handles this. He didn't get into the "trial by media" of either the cop or the shooting victim. Instead he took the high road, talked about the big picture, and ended up caused Jackson to fumble his words and ultimately, if begrudgingly, agree with him.

That cop shot to kill. The first shot may have been to defend himself, but 2,3,4,5, and 6 were not defensive or to make an arrest.

Oh I agree. Of course this interview was early on before all the facts were known. (Like the white construction worker witnesses who saw Mike Brown with his hands up.) And that's what I like about Dr. Carson's response. It was valid whether or not the killing was justified. Jackson will go all off on the Mike Brown killing but is silent on the black woman killed by capitol police. She did absolutely nothing wrong. She had a panic attack and it cost her life. But a lot of other killings of young blacks are entirely preventable withing the community, especially those done by other young blacks. Deal with the root of those problems. That's what Dr. Carson was talking about and what Rev. Jackson couldn't attack. And at the end Dr. Carson thanked Jesse Jackson for his past service. Classic!
