Watered down? Johnson is proposing a balance budget in 2013 (Ron Paul's plan takes until 2015 - so Johnson's budget is actually 40% smaller than Paul's first year budget). Promising to veto all expenditures that exceed revenues. For ending all wars. For bringing our troops how. Johnson is ranked better on civil liberties than Ron Paul. Governor Johnson isn't watered down - he's just different than Ron.

Gary Johnson didn't say he'll endorse Mitt Romney, like Rand Paul did. Gary Johnson didn't say he'll campaign for Romney, like Rand did. Sooo, is it that Gary Johnson will NOT say any ol' thing to get elected, as you publicly charge, or is it that he didn't think endorsing Romney would HELP him?

I think Rand thinks endorsing and campaigning for Romney will help RAND. What say you?

Being more libertarian than "libertarian leaning Republicans", you GET IT that I speak as I speak...right? I mean, I've put in more than half a century in this one-as-far-as-I-know Life and, for all the downsides of aging, one of the distinct upsides is knowing what I think and being free to speak my mind...Frank Sinatra, MY WAY. So long as ANYONE in my country is "allowed" to speak freely, so am I. You won't be insulted by my lousy bedside manner, will you?

GET HIM IN THE DEBATES seems to me to be the NEXT STOP. As it happens, getting "only" to the next stop is a MAJOR win for America and more than 90% of Americans. Speaking of SPREADING THE MESSAGE.

"Hopefully," he's going ALL IN with Speech Coach and such. He's a Triathlete...he cleans up purty good. He has a good record, Gang Bangers notwithstanding.

FOR SURE, Obama and Romney will have to "play it" differently. FOR SURE, Big Money wasn't betting on this.

If people will be married to political parties, some Ron Paul support BELONGS in the Republican Party. Some does NOT.

Do Ron Paul Supporters' have ONLINE JUICE? Rand Paul sez "Maybe they do, and maybe they don't." We DO know that not all of Ron Paul's "inch wide mile deep" support will support Johnson. Even so, there is no doubt that if X percent of Ron Paul's scrappy ground game struts its online stuff for the purpose of getting Gary Johnson into the debates, they WILL have an impact. At the same time, well, jeepers, the only reason we're having this conversation is 'cuz Ron Paul fell short (stipulating blackout, Jethro Clampett counting, whack-a-mole rules, et al.). Even if they ALL hopped on board...which you'd THINK they'd do re: inclusion in the debates, however they end up voting...it isn't enough to WIN. We know this.

Harkening back to some people being Real Republicans, the "Liberty Lovers" who revile libertarian Gary Johnson are the very ones who alienate (or scare the shit outta) SEVERAL of the hapless stripes languishing between the Extremes. Their logically remaining committed to the Republican Party enhances Gary Johnson's appeal with that broad swath in the middle.

GETTING INTO THE DEBATES is so much more realistic and manageable than WINNING THE PRESIDENCY.

GETTING INTO THE DEBATES = VICTORY.

EVERYTHING AFTER THAT = GRAVY.
