Barr Campaign Aide Kicked Out of Press Conference

Benton shouldn't be kicking people out of press conferences. That's not his job.

Barr just lost my vote. Not that I was voting for Barr because I liked him

This guy is my friend and has asked me to call him. Maybe I could get him to agree to a conference call with a few of us?

Well, the sticky thing here is that Barr doesn't want you to vote for him.

He's there to kill votes for the Libertarian Party, which would have gotten huge vote totals on the heels of Paul this year.

The Libertarians chose name recognition over principle, and now they're getting what they deserved for that.

+1

I wonder if all of this is somehow just between the staff and Barr/RP had not much to do with it at all. I wonder

This pure crap. These conspiracy theories about "neocon plants" really need to stop.

Just curious: what other candidate from the LP besides Ron Paul would be drawing near the support that Barr is currently drawing in the polls? All the other LP candidates were completely unknown, and there's no way the media would have paid ANY attention to them. Barr has gotten tons more media attention than any previous LP candidate, and he's going to vastly outperform previous LP nominees at the polls in November.

Regarding the "name recognition over principles" claim, Bob Barr had a voting record in Congress rated "libertarian" over his lifetime by the Republican Liberty Caucus, and he's moved in the right direction on issues about which he was wrong (Iraq, Drugs, DOMA). HE was the one who pushed the Libertarian Party to author the invitation to Dr. Paul to seek its Presidential Nomination (before Barr got into the race), a resolution that also called for the Libertarian Party to open its resources to the Paul campaign (particularly in New Hampshire). Barr endorsed Dr. Paul's campaign early on, and he introduced him at CPAC. I understand why the Barr campaign is upset that Dr. Paul isn't giving him his exclusive endorsement, and it's a sentiment I share.

Bob Barr is a liar

and I won't believe this until I see it for myself. His people tell our ppl to go * themselves, and then his National Field Coordinator does this:

Bob Barr 2008 National Field Director Mike Ferguson says Ron Paul showed a “complete lack of leadership” today, and “has, again, blown a tremendous opportunity to lead and advance the agenda of the Constitution, and individual liberty.”

Ferguson insinuates that Ron Paul’s campaign was ego-driven and not really about the issues. He also says that in not endorsing Barr, the thrice-married ex-CIA man who paid for his second wife’s abortion, Paul showed he lacked courage.

Worst of all, Ferugson says Paul refused to endorse Barr because supporting all four third-party candidates maximizes Paul’s book-sale potential. “Ron Paul is in the Ron Paul business,” he says.

Also you are getting your info. from David Wiegel who is a POS who has been running CATO hit pieces on RP at every chance he gets.

And even IF it is true, boooo freaking hoooo!!!!!!!! Poor wil' Bob Barr.

It isn't some sort of vast conspiracy theory like you are making it out to be. It goes like this- Bob Barr was a Neocon. Bob Barr hasn't changed. I think he proved that today.

This reminds me of the Japanese diplomats that were kicked out of the Whitehouse when Pearl Harbor was under attack.
