Bachmann on CNN talking about Sorenson defection (Full video added)

I thought this was HILARIOUS! She was talking about how the guy was going to go under Oath and talk about things. Well, in the interview she said "he would even go under oath and make the cl...." Obviously, she was going to say "claim", but she caught herself like the politician she is and changed it to "He would...He would...He would give his STATEMENT that..." I thought it was funny how she caught herself there!

Check out the 8:40 mark!

Edited to add: She said 8 different times in response to what would she do if Ron Paul won the nomination that: He will "never be the nominee" or "never/not going to happen" or "not going to get the nomination". EIGHT times in less than one minute.

I will admit that at one time, I used to somewhat respect her. Now, I just can't stand her.

Good catch. Thought I heard that as well.

This woman has re-enforced my inherent distrust of "evangelicals"...every damn one I've ever met is EXACTLY like her, in the end and when pushed into a corner, so transparent and full of shit.

Glad you put that in quotes, because technically Ron Paul's faith is evangelical. As well as mine. :) But yeah, the "Christians" sure do give Christians a bad name.

[edit] Now I see that others noticed the slip of the tongue and posted about it above. Sorry for the duplicate but it just reinforces the observation.

I haven't had time to read this whole huge thread in fact I haven't even finished watching the video in the OP but wanted to ask if anyone had noticed that at around 8:43 into the clip she has a rather telling slip of the tongue and almost says "claim" instead of "statement". ROFL.

Rarely have I seen such a blatant straight-faced pack of lies out of a politician. She is the dangerous one. Like I said in another thread, she could be a female Greg Stillson.

She is running a scorched earth campaign now.
Still haven't read most of this thread but noticed another anomaly @ around 9:20 - she starts talking about herself in the third person. Where have we heard that before? (Cain)

"I'm the only one in the race that has won a statewide election"?
--Seriously? I think Mitt, Perry and Huntsman at the very least would dispute that.

This woman is delusional.
What "statewide election" did she ever win?

What "statewide election" did she ever win?

I THINK that what she was referring to was that she has won what she considers the only "TRUE" "Election" so far in the republican primary so far by winning the straw poll. Which is still incredibly dishonest but a little better than what it came off as.

Before anyone gets on to me for defending her a little on this i sincerely believe she is a serial liar that does not have any qualms with doing anything to win or to make her point.

The funniest thing about that whole interview was that she is actually saying she's hoping and expecting a miracle come the third. Its so nice to be on the other end of it this time around. The one thing that scares me is how vindictive she can be. I don't expect her to go down without a fight and i think this is just the beginning of the wholly cow how crazy can she get campaign.

*edit*
removed an unnecessary insult

What else do you expect from an IRS lawyer, except lies and dishonesties? That said, people here should watch their phraseology (some of the insults against her on this thread are a bit obscene, and won't read well to incoming ex-Bachmann supporters).

Would you vote for Ron Paul if he was the nominee?

Don't forget Santorum. He won the Senate in PA. So that makes 4 (Perry, Huntsman, Santorum, and Romney) to win a REAL statewide election. It is so pathetic to consider a straw poll victory for her as being greater than someone being elected to the US Senate or Governor.

Just in this one interview, you have so many things. Her saying Ron Paul will never win the nomination (or some variation of that) 8 times within one minute, her almost saying claim instead of statement, holding on to the random kid in front of her, pandering to supporters behind her, saying that she is the only one in the race that won a statewide election, claiming that she has cell phone records that show she talked to Sorenson (like that proves anything about what was said???) and it was supposed to be some big evidence of proof, making some wild claims that people were switching over from Ron Paul to her by the thousands, Ron Paul's campaign was "very nervous" because of her momentum and then he "apparently" had some plan to offer money to Sorenson, "unbelievable, remarkable momentum in the last week because I took on Ron Paul....and now you see this huge offer of money", people a mile long he told he was "getting money", this is about money and the Ron Paul campaign seeing that the floor is coming out, and finally you have that "we are going to see a miracle happen on Tuesday". How can anyone really take her serious after this?

I never could stand her. I always got a bit defensive whenever I saw someone rip on Sarah Palin (I've come around since), but never batted an eye when it came to her. Those crazy eyes... Crazy, crazy eyes... And the bat-shit crazy things that fly out of her mouth... It's almost too much to bear.

This is great news! When I heard it yesterday I just started laughing. Man, what a joke she is trying to pull. He did it for the money? I was involved in the Revolution four years ago...I attended RP events. I helped setup one of his speaking events at a local college...met his campaign manager at the time....
I tell you this... anyone who knows anything about the campaign knows there isn't money to be made...lol. This is a campaign of love for freedom, liberty ... not a money machine like those rats from Romney's circus.
