Dear Fellow Conservative,

I'm offended.

If you watched tonight's Republican debate, you saw Rick Perry defend his decision to mandate a vaccine for young girls through an executive order while he was governor of Texas. As a mother, I have raised three biological daughters and 23 foster daughters, and I believe taking away a parents right to direct the health care of their children is flat out wrong . It’s a violation of liberty and everything you and I stand for.

Tonight, I also questioned why Governor Perry made this executive order. When you look at the facts, the question becomes, is this about life or is this about millions and potentially billions for the drug company?

We cannot forget that in the midst of the executive order, a big drug company made millions of dollars because of this mandate. This drug company's PAC made thousands of dollars in political donations to Governor Perry, and his own former Chief of Staff was working as the lobbyist for this drug company when he issued the mandate. This is flat out wrong.

Governor Perry says if given the option again he would not issue the mandate. However, as President of the United States there are no mulligans; there are no do-overs.

I am also concerned that Governor Perry also supports giving subsidies to illegal immigrants. The American way is not to give taxpayer-subsidized benefits to people who have broken the law and are here illegally. That is not the American way.

I believe it is going to take a strong constitutional conservative to defeat Barack Obama. Our constitutional conservative values must guide our actions for solving America’s challenges. And if these values are not represented in the White House, we are in for four more years of the same policies that have led our country in the wrong direction.

Our nation's challenges are have reached a critical point. And we cannot risk electing a Republican nominee to face Barack Obama who doesn't get it right the first time. The stakes are too high. The current polling of Republican voters show we are endanger of sending a candidate who does not adhere to our shared values to face Barack Obama in the general election. There are a number of candidates who say they are “members of the Tea Party,” but their records of policy and action do not reflect Tea Party values.

As conservatives, it is our charge to make Barack Obama a one-term President. I know that I am the only candidate in this race who can not only defeat Barack Obama, but who will adhere to constitutional conservative values as President.

I need to know you stand with me today, and ask that you make a donation.

We need to defeat Barack Obama, and you can help me do this by joining my campaign right now with a contribution. My opponents are raising money hand-over-fist from donors with deep pockets. My campaign relies on the generosity of you- everyday men and women- to fund my campaign with small donations.

Your support is needed now more than ever if we are going to win this fight. Thank you for your generosity and God bless you and your family.

Sincerely,

Michele Bachmann

I hope not. She'll knock us back into fourth unless we get a good bump from this debate. I hope she keeps sinking and the Perry defectors get on the RP bandwagon.

Once again, Bachmann stealing Ron Paul's ideas. Just last week in the debate, Paul brings up this exact issue. Where was Bachmann then?

Now, all of a sudden, she is "leading the charge" on this issue? Haha. Has she ever done anything original?

And this is proof to anyone that things, that she clearly is only in this for her. If she really believed the things she spouts, she would just support RP.

The problem is that she is saying Ron's positions better than Ron is. He badly needs to work on his delivery so people know what he is talking about.

It was just one topic. I commend her for the way she took down Perry. You can't take that away from her. But she can't win the nomination on one good fight. She simply cannot win against BO with the "pray the gay away" stigma over her head. That alone will bring out liberal voters in droves. Trust me, I was looking into her when she first entered the scene. I typically don't base my opinions on candidates by social issues, but she managed to turn me off to her campaign with her views of gay marriage, abortion, etc.

Ya and he brought it up in the LAST debate.. then apparently they went out and researched it, I wonder if they even knew about it before Ron Paul brought it up?

The liberal media will annihilate her unfortunately. I'd still like to see her be given a chance, as opposed to Perry or Romney. Better to send someone who isn't owned by Goldman Sachs (Romney) or a CFR agent.

She won't sink. The media annoited her the winner of the debate, and she's going on the offense now against Perry, who was exposed as a sham by Paul. She will gain at Perry's expense, and Paul might well fall to 4th again.

But so what? As long as Romney isn't the one who gains from Perry's fall, we're fine. Paul just has to hold his support around or above 10-percent. His campaign will slowly pluck people away from the others, and he should get support from independents and democrats. He just needs to outlast Bachmann to win the necessary "anti-establishment" Republican votes. If he does, the chickenhawks can break for Romney, and Paul would still have a shot.

Yes, they probably knew about it. They just didn't want to be the first ones to broach the subject, lest the media and the party dogpile on them for attacking a fellow republican.

She is bringing Perry down, who is bringing Romney down. She is going up while the other two are coming down. Ron is the wildcard here. And don't discount Newt either.

I'm guessing Perry will be in the lead, polling somewhere in the mid-20s. Romney will poll around 20, and Bachmann will poll just under it, in a few weeks when the results of the debate and the aftershocks sink in and are reflected in the polls. Paul should probably be about the same, anywhere between 9 and 15 percent.

Kinda like but not really, "To danger us" OR Too dangerous - from Witch Hunt by the band Rush.
