He isn't really an Australian anymore - he took US citizenship and I can't remember the last time he actually bothered to visit.
His son comes over on occasion, but that doesn't really count as he grew up in the US and has a strong accent.
He isn't the same polarizing figure as in the USA - he tends not to meddle in Australian politics as much and far fewer people subscribe to cable news, so it is harder to distort the message.
Still, he isn't exactly an admired individual. Anyone with even a passing interest in US politics realizes he is a dirtbag.
