What? You act like it is news to you that our guys have been trying to get in leadership positions in the GOP, all over the country. If it is news to you, where have you been? Training has been going on for the last several YEARS for this.
Nothing is perfect and certainly not the campaign. But, have you looked at your own self in the mirror lately? How many phone calls did you make trying to help in the Phone from Home program? How many of your neighborhood streets did you walk and how many doors did you knock on handing out campaign literature? How many emails and videos did you create trying to make the moneybombs a success? Well????
You also seem to have conveniently forgotten that the media was running a 24/7 smear campaign against Ron, while giving free advertisement to Santorum and Romney. And this doesn't even speak to the crap that went on within each state's GOP. Which is why we have to pwn the leadership positions so it will never happen again.
That's bull. They damn sure did try; especially at the beginning. Later on, I agree, it felt like it transitioned to something else.
Phone from home? Zero. I don't think people want phone calls at 2AM at night, and with my work/family schedule, I wouldn't be able to get on the phone until after the calling hours stopped anyway, plus what I saw here on RPF showed it ticked more people off, from them getting harassed by repeat phone calls.
Did I actually call my real life friends and family in different states though, and remind them of not only the primary days to vote, but also of the caucuses? Yes. Louisiana being one big one. South Carolina another.
How many neighborhood streets did I walk? How many campaign ads did the Ron Paul campaign run in North Carolina? Zero. Was North Carolina another one-versus-one for Ron Paul versus Mitt Romney? Yes. Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum were both out of the race before the North Carolina primary took place.
How many of my friends/family/church members know I support Ron Paul, and how many did I show materials to since 2007 in North Carolina? Well, if you count passing out flyers/info cards at the State Fair as well, probably a few thousand.
How many of my neighbors still see, "RonPaul2012.com" as a WiFi router name? At least eight.
And no, it's not bull to say the campaign didn't try. It's obvious to any political observer, that has spent time in politics or just general business, the campaign did not try. I don't consider lying to donors, and wasting the time/money/sacrifices of grassroot supporters across the country, trying. If you say, "In it to win it", you better go down in flames. Letting every single last person in the media know you will not go by quietly. No, after Ron Paul supporters were lied to, about, assaulted, arrested, we were told we needed to be "respectful"? Perhaps I missed the Newt Gingrich supporter with the broken foot from months ago?
Notice the first email from RP since his supposed "concession" email? Yea, it was about "helping Campaign for Liberty"...total fraud. Some of us around here were trying to warn people for months about this crap, and kept being told, "trust the campaign" and "you're being a debbie downer"...I was honestly trying to keep a fallout from happening, as we are seeing right now. And Ron Paul and the RonPaul2012 campaign do not even care enough to answer questions, instead they are out in full force defending Rand Paul's lying endorsement of Mitt Romney?
As for videos and the moneybombs, I put together lots videos for RP over the last 8-ish months for this campaign, not to mention the 2007/08 campaign...YouTube banned my entire account in May, after I uploaded a simple video showing how Romney and Obama are the same on healthcare, and RP was the only different candidate.
Here are a few of my videos, that I reuploaded to Vimeo...but heck, if the Ron Paul 2012 campaign was never serious about winning, why should I continue to waste my time making videos? Seriously? They wasted $50+ million between 2008 and 2012, and we didn't get one single Romney only, or even Obama only attack ad? No, the campaign ran attack ads against Rick Santorum in Michigan, to help Mitt Romney win that state...but when it came to Virginia. NOTHING. North Carolina, which had a MASSIVE Christian evangelical turnout...NOTHING.
Perhaps Ron Paul has missed the fact that he didn't have an issue getting on camera to ask supporters to contribute to moneybombs, and take pictures with "thumbs up" during moneybombs to post...when it came to raising money. Or, calling a press conference to announce the start of his campaign? But we get a lame email that Rand supposedly said he knew about, and was the reason for going on national tv to lie about a position Mitt Romney did not have during the campaign?
The campaign implodes upon itself over 24 hours, and not one single word from Ron Paul in video form on the official site? And again, the next email message from him was apparently about helping Campaign for Liberty?
As for my videos...here are a few of them:
the one that got my entire YouTube account banned...with absolutely no copyrighted material in it?
