ATTN: Virginia - Turn out is ridiculously low! Do whatever it takes to get Paul votes.

I've got 3 voters for RP today ...My dad a Romney supporter didn't even go vote and he ALWAYS votes. I guess they all just figure that RP won't win.

Offer to mow the lawn 10 times if he goes and votes for Ron or something :)

Low voter turnout in morning = people vote after work. Am I stupid or something?

Low is relative.

Low relative to a 'normal' big time election (dem primary, general election).

low as in 1% of the eligible population..akin to Maine.

All reports from Virginia say that turn out is super low, something like 1% (that is ridiculously low for a primary!). It seems like most people are staying home because of the limited ballot.
We have to make sure that ALL Paul supporters go to the polls today.
This may be a scenario where 100 votes means A LOT. If you live in or near Virginia, do whatever it takes to get people to cast their vote for Paul.
Buy your friends some lunch and drive them to the polls. Walk around and convince people on the street. Do whatever it takes.
The last poll only had Paul at 26% - but if we turn out everyone plus some, we can likely pull a surprise here because no one else is showing up.
Do it!

Bump for a WIN !!!

A bit of both. Old people vote early, young and middle aged people vote late. Which one of those is Paul's weak group and which one's are his strong group?

Why is it good? We wanted the anti-romney vote.. it seems like grinch and santorum supporters just stayed away hence no anti romney vote. its purely paul v. romney, which we tend to lose.

People are going home from work, go take your coworkers with you to go vote before heading home. maybe have a nice beer too.

If the 1% statistic is accurate... wow.

1% of the population in Virginia is like 90,000 votes.

To put that in perspective... Ron got 26000 votes there in 2008 (4% of the vote).

As a I asked in another thread about Virginia Voting Today - does anyone in Virginia know how many absentee ballots were cast and turned in to the Various State Election Offices? Many of the votes may already be in and that is why today's low turnout may not be as low as most are thinking.

If the absentee vote totals are also very low then I think Ron may do far better than 26%. The lower the better!!!

There is only 2 candidates in the vote in Virginia. Obviously turnout is going to be really low.

This is good. Even if we do not win the state at least there is more of a chance that Romney will not get 50%+ of the votes in the state. That way we can get some delegates

Never go full on retard.

If we do not win, it is guaranteed that Romney will get at least 50% of the vote. There are two options.

There was only 3 candidates in 2008. They got 490,000 votes.

I guess I said 26000 votes, but it was actually 22,000 votes. My mistake.
