Thats right, from Pensacola to Panama City Beach, all "official" campaign signs have been removed!

I used to count no less than 50 signs along the Hwy 98 in my commute from these two cities, and now they're all gone. The few Mitt Romney signs in this same stetch are still there though....hmmmm....

If I could afford even one sign right now, I'd put it up, but the economy has got me in a serious bind right now. This shit makes me soooooooooo mad.:mad:

Start a ChipIn and post the story of what happened on Daily Paul and there will be plenty of people who will donate to cover the costs of the sign. Don't give up!!

Romney and McCain supporterrs have been filmed taking down RP signs.

The Sign Nazis in Cocoa, FL took down the Ron Paul signs from a local Meineke shop.

Here's an idea I want to get started on, might as well post it here.

If anyone knows how to get these two photos to show up in the thread please do so, I think they have to be hosted somewhere and I forgot my username and password to photobucket.

Check out http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1116/photos/274219/2924461/

Imagine driving down the highway and seeing Ron Paul bumper stickers on guard rails mile after mile after mile. This was done here in Mississippi for Trent Lott and it works. I would automatically start looking for the next guard rail just to see if it would have a sticker. And yes, the name is readable while driving.

This one just happens to have survived 4 years right outside my town!

Imagine Ron Paul stickers all over the country, every driver would see them.

Note, PLEASE DO NOT place stickers on Road Signs or in such a way that they obscure information or constitute a safety hazard.

"Romney and McCain supporterrs have been filmed taking down RP signs." .. got it on YouTube yet? That needs to be spread.

Time to take action on these sign thieves. Start spraying our signs with a clear pepper spray and an adhesive glue. That will teach those thieves to steal!!!

down in miami, some places had RP signs, then they had rudy signs and no RP signs...

now they don't have any signs at all...

Hm, are you sure about that?

We had one disappear by Wal-Mart in Destin, but the rest of the ones I've put up are still out. I was just in Panama City on Saturday and they're *everywhere*. I haven't done the trip out to P'cola in a while though. The Navarre people mostly had them on private property, so having those taken down would be an issue.

Btw, I have quite a few signs here at my house. I'm right off of 98. We've been putting some out today and we'll put out a few more tonight. If you would like to take a couple to put out and you're passing through here, I can give you some.

Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure that all the ones I usually pass are gone:

Several on the north and south side of 3 mile bridge in Pensacola are gone, as well as near the navy base where I work.

Numerous signs through Navarre are gone, except for the homemade ones/private property ones.

There were a shit-ton from the Walton/Bay County line heading east on 98 almost all the way to the new bridge, all gone. Trust me, I do this drive 1-2 times a week, they're all gone.

Hm, yeah... there were only a couple (5 or so?) through PC Beach Saturday. There were many more after the Hathaway Bridge. Maybe someone's getting ready for that Rudy visit on Thursday. I'm a little pissed about that one I put by WM disappearing because other signs didn't go, so it definitely wasn't Code Enforcement.

Maybe we should do some letters to the editor? I don't know what else we can really do about it unless we want to go all high tech and stake out signs for a week and try to catch someone...

I work for a small town and when the city manager tells us to go around town picking up signs we don't trash them. We keep them put up so people can get them back if they want. So call city manager are ask someone from thestreet dept .Of course I never pull Dr.Paul sign in my town :D

I would def do this and then if they didn't do it, I'd put up other signs in their place that ask "Who stole our Ron Paul for President sign?" :D

Yep, those are all GONE, and there was a LOT more than 5 last Wednesday, so this has been a progressive thing.

I'd be down for some "black ops" type sign watching, but just dont have the time.:(

I definitely can't either (I have two toddlers, one is a nursling, so no leaving them and making them sleep in the car overnight would probably land them in foster care, lol!).

But, if by some wild chance I could round up a crazy or two (unlikely, but I'll try) who would try it, where do you think they're disappearing from the most and fastest?

Have you sent out something to all the local Meetups?

I seriously doubt this is a code enforcement issue because he's talking about 4 different counties with 4 very different ways of dealing with that and we're definitely in the clear right now for political signs (others are up and staying up, especially local stuff). You could check with county code enforcement (they keep the signs for a little while), but chances are it's some bozo who hates RP or another campaign in which case they're ending up in the trash. But, unless we catch someone, there's not much of a headline there.

The Code Enforcement people here in Walton have NO problem with our signs right now. I personally talked to them today. So, they're not an issue. I also went through their piles today to gather some H-stakes and there were no RP signs in the piles.

We definitely don't have enough to keep putting them out if they're being pulled up. Supplies are very short.

I just put up 5 signs around my neighborhood last night and one has already been taken down. Wasnt even up for 24 hours, sigh.
