I think I remember seeing on the history channel or something that 88 means "Heil Hitler" since the letter H is the 8th letter in the alphabet. Don't know about 14 though.

The timing is just too convienient....seems like a handy ploy to give Obama (and blacks) the vicitim card, thus causing white guilt, and sympathy for B.O.
