At what point do we throw "legal" out the window?

Robert is right. The "one person at a time" is work but will work if we are willing to put in the effort. We can win Iowa this January. This will require about 10,000 additional votes from people who normally do not vote in the Caucus. Many of these votes will come from young people/students but we must have a plan and put in the work to recruit them. Any ideas or suggestions?

We need students who are in the Meetup groups to organize a Ron Paul Supporter organization at their colleges. I think colleges are one place where there is a lot of fertile ground for RP's message.

I would just have to say use the small town papers to get him noticed. They are mostly indipendant and not owned by large corporations and ads are quite cheap.
Need to get him noticed real soon.He needs to be a household name by the end of october. 2 and a half months left. I say it is hammer time during sept 1st to the end of october to get his name out there. No holds bar. Also we need some more pictures and stories from troops in Iraq who support RP. Their voices and choices of who they support could make the difference for RP. If the people do support our troops they should take note who they want as president and help that dream come true for them.. We owe it to them.....

but putting stickers on a police/taxi car is just vandalism..

Not really when using a sticker with a moderately aggressive adhesive which can be easily removed in less time than it takes to apply it, like the silk-screened vinyl stickers such as we supply.

Not that I'm encouraging anyone to do such a thing. ;)

I have not too much of a problem with yard signs stuck along the side of the road. They allow the builders to keep them up, so I see no reason that a Ron Paul sign or two couldn't appear in those "herds."

Ahem

Sheesh

You want to get this forum shut down and people hauled off? We don't do anything illegal, this forum is not a conspiracy for illegal activities.

Remember, they used RICO against the pro-live activists. I won't be involved in any sort of online conspiracy to commit illegal activities & I think anyone who does should be removed immediately. Who knows what kind of moles/entrapment, etc, can arise from even considering this discussion.

to clarify, I meant 'legal' support when school starts. I don't feel anything illegal should be advocated or supported.

huh? are you talking about legalization... like peter tosh or something?

forget those damned hippy college kids... their brains are too whacked out on that lsd stuff to ever care about or have any perspective on the real problems of the world... as for the solutions to those problems... man forget about it... with their brains so whacked out on those drugs, they probably couldn't solve a puzzle... or a riddle... or decipher a sentence... or color within the lines... or.. huh? wait, you get it don't you?

Yes!

I was at Ames and was working the FAIR tax people as they entered the arena. If you just approach people with respect and dignity, you'll at least have made an impression.

I don't know how many Brownback/Romney/Tancredo supporters I tried to give my info to, but I was always genuinely curteous and pleasant.

People pick up on that. They may walk away not wanting to support Ron, but at least they'll have to have a grudging respect for our manners.

ONE PERSON AT A TIME. That is how we'll win this. There is time believe it or not. I have been on this train since the very very begining.

Just remember a scant 4 months ago, not 1 in 2000 people had ever heard the name Ron Paul. It's now down to maybe 1 in 10. By November our goal should be 1 in 1(or as close as possible).

But I don't want people knowing him because we defaced a police car, or ruined 1,000's of peoples good times at a sporting event because some A Hole wanted to force his message on them. That is the antithisis of what Ron Paul stands for.

I hate to say it, but those tactics are the sign of lazyness. You'll have to get out and approach people 1 at a time and convince them. That is the only way things will change.

We are in danger of becoming a characture of ourselves if we continue with the "WHO IS RON PAUL" mentality. THEY KNOW WHO HE IS NOW, now we have to convince them that he is the best peson for the job.

You do that ONE MIND AT A TIME>

Robert

Well said, sir!

Disrespecting private property to promote private property rights makes no sense.

In that context non-private property does make sense, such as STOP signs, utility poles, telephone polls, trees, etc.

Of course this is for informational purposes only and not a call to action.

OTOH, there are some folks who have been known to place stickers of various sorts and themes on or near gas pumps and in bathrooms in areas where a passerby is likely to see it and it at least be noted.

Again, this is for informational purposes only and should not be considered a call to action.

What's this we stuff? I don't think you should be breaking laws. I won't.

It still happens, but its more rare than it used to be. Remember when you used to see the "Jesus saves" spraypainted on things? I never could help but think that "vandalizing for Jesus" wasn't quite appropriate... ;)

Spray-painting and apply stickers, signs, or flyers which can be removed without much effort are two entirely different things.

Regardless, did the participants of the Boston Tea Party break the law?

Where do you think we would be now if Parker's men at Lexington obeyed a lawful order to "Lay down your arms"?

Extraordinary times and circumstances call for extraordinary measures.

They had already exhausted trying to "work within the system." We still have that option. Perhaps we are deluding ourselves to think we can, but we haven't reached that point yet. Over time our options may be reduced to that. Till then courting the kind of response they got with actions they took should be the last thing on our minds.
