There are almost 60 chapters in California. The UCLA chapter, which is the campaign’s fifth largest with 1,402 members, had originally planned for the rally to be held at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center but was moved to the larger venue after receiving more than 4,900 RSVPs.

Little Chico got 6200! Let's do this!

The town hall-style meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. at Straus Stadium at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on the UCLA campus, has been organized by Youth for Ron Paul, which has more than 591 chapters on college campuses throughout the country and a membership approaching 60,000.

Mistype?

Maybe the campaign is suggesting to get there by then or something. I'm checking out the new parking situation. I'm bringing people but one of them can't stand for hours and hours or walk TOO far. I could drop them off and then park, though, if it comes to that.

I bet we get 10k+ that's my gut. I bet some people didn't pre register

Since the article stated that the UCLA Event is going to cost the YFP UCLA Chapter $5,000 I sure hope the organizers not just register attendees to be Republican Voters, but also ask for Donations to be made on the Official Campaign Website.

Even $10.00 I am sure would be welcomed by the Campaign.

I am predicting a crowd approaching 8,000....Tonight. I sure hope the word got out to the other LA Colleges and Universities about the Event and the late change in venues.

I'd like to see a Ron Paul do a speech at Michigan Stadium, but I reckon you'd have to having standing room on the field because the stadium wouldn't be big enough. ;)

Most of my peeps out there complained that it was too late in the evening for them. :( I'd have the same complaint if I lived out there.

edit: but I thought it started at 830pm??

Well the problem is that they would want people to be able to come after work and it is in L.A. which is a traffic nightmare from 2 or so on through 8pm or so.. to get there from OC especially, or from the valley leaving after 5 is going to take some time, especially if you're trying to get there around 7 or so.. but yes, the event begins at 8:30

There is bad traffic in L.A.? You don't say!

Alright, I hadn't planned on going because I really hate driving to LA and it is a bit far..

But screw it, I'm leaving work early and I'm going, count me and my rp girl in.

Please inform the local media outlets...this could be huge...might even get national coverage...*cough* (okay, I couldn't keep a straight face for that last part)...

For those at the event, talk up registering as a Republican in order to vote for Ron, and to get involved in the Campaign by volunteering and Donating to the Campaign.

Chico State's HUGE TURNOUT last night obviously caused some NEW DONORS to appear, as the RP Daily Donation Tracker is currently at $27,026 and rising. Yesterday it was only $16,200 at midnight.

Make us all Proud Tonight UCLA. Go Bruins!!!!
