At $500 dollars a plate...How many at Rand Pauls fundraiser?

I LIKE IT "THE LIBERTY STEAKHOUSE"

It has a good ring to it! Lets call it that.

Lol there really is a Liberty Steakhouse... and whats even better is that thats where Ron Paul had his after-debate rally after the later debate in SC lol. It was close to the convention center where they held it. Its an AWESOME place too. Great food. Its a little pricy though for me, but I go there once in a long time.

I missed the rally Ron had after the debate there though because after the debate I was busy holding signs in the background of cameras and trying to out chant Huckabee supporters, which we did easily lol. Its hard to stay motivated to out sign-wave or out-chant Paul supporters when you're well, not motivated really lol. They were just chanting I like Mike, which sums up their entire reasoning for supporting him. So once they saw they couldn't beat us in covering the background of tv cameras with signs for Huck, or out chant us, they gave up and left lol.

The huckster's "supporters" are dedicated believe me. They chanted for a few minutes and some even attempted to hold signs behind tv reporters, and then left to go eat. They're hardcore and tough.

So after the tv crews ended I tried to get over to the Liberty Steakhouse hoping I would catch Ron speak, but I had to find a ride because mine was gone, although Liberty Steakhouse was within walking distance, but a long distance like half a mile I guess or something like that, but its not practical to walk to it from where I was really so I wanted a ride.

So I ended up riding over to Liberty Steakhouse with the people that ran the Ron Paul Blimp lol! I didn't even know until we were driving there and the guy in front of me just mentioned something and then I realized they were the ones handling that. He almost crushed and broke my legs too pushing his seat back too far lol. But I made it with no injuries only to find out Paul was gone lol.

It was funny seeing Fred Thompson at the debate too because everytime someone else was talking and the cameras were off him he kept staring up at the ceiling and looking around at stuff up in the ceiling area lol. I guess he thought something was going to fall on him, or either he was asking God why he was there again lol.

great story...

Oh yeah, I forgot another good part of the story.

Before the debate, when I was heading up to the convention center to get in, I saw a local reporter interviewing Sanford and no one else was around lol! Him and the reporter and like one other guy were doing an interview kind of inbetween a road entrance area across from the parking lot and the building itself where hordes of people were at trying to get inside, and oddly none of them were near the governor.

So I just kept walking since they were in my path anyway, and then I just stopped behind the camera, and after me standing there a second while Sanford was talking he glanced at me and kept talking, and I got to speak to him when the reporter was done and walked off.

It was very cool and made me think a lot of Sanford. I told him that we would love to see him endorse Ron Paul, and he said some things about Ron Paul that were good. I think he tried to hint around to me that he felt like he couldn't really endorse him though, but would if he could. I got the impression he wanted to but felt like it could be political suicide, so I understood even though I would have done it in his position.

I didn't talk to him but for a second because I didn't want to hold him up or be annoying lol. I thought it was really nice for him to talk to me like that and not try to ignore me, so I figured I would try to be quick and just encourage an endorsement lol.

Well, I put in $50. That won't buy a full plate, but maybe some appetizers or something?

I'm in for $25 so far. My target is for $100 by the end of the day. I have 6 people on my "guilt into donating list", 2 people in my "oh yeah don't forget to send money" list, and about 4 more on my "don't knock it until you try it" list.

I plan on grilling up some BBQ tonight and bringing them all over for this box of 50 steaks I got for 150 bucks.

=)

Neat story, Justin. Thanks. :)

Idk, maybe I thought too much of Sanford giving me a chance to talk to him like I was just as important, or unimportant as him, but the only other politician I have seen like that is Paul, but thats to be expected with him lol. I wouldn't consider him a politician lol.

I remember when I was like 12 I went to a McCain rally with my dad back in his 2000 campaign, and after his speech he pretty much ran away from everyone lol.

I was all excited then just because I managed to shake his hand lol. I guess he was afraid someone would criticize something he had done if he actually stopped to talk with people for a second lol.:rolleyes:

But its a good thing, just think what could have happened if McCain had stopped and actually talked to me being a kid back then lol? I would have ended up supporting him like an idiot perhaps lol. Eh, I doubt it, I think I'm smarter than that, but still, I would have liked him more at least, I guess.

Also there is NO possible way McCain can hear if he played music that loud at all his rallies back in 2000 lol. I have been to death metal concerts that literally did not play their music nearly as loud as McCain played music at that rally. The amps were bigger than buses, no joke. You could feel the sound vibrating in you and in your lungs just like at a metal concert, and if you stood near the amps there's no way it wouldn't damage your hearing. It was really kind of pointless to blast music THAT loud lol. Even metal bands don't play it that loud, which makes me wonder if they weren't above sound decibel levels that are damaging to hearing.

Kind of wierd to think a McCain rally is where I heard the loudest music in my life isn't it lol?

Just donated my $100! That's a total of $200 for Rand so far.

I told my wife this morning that 23 Republican senators were hosting a $500/plate dinner for party hack Grayson. Her response: "That's terrible!" We are supporting both Rand Paul and Peter Schiff for the Senate.

was rand's counter at $0 today? I doubt it was, anyone have an idea where it started? $896K now
