Art Robinson featured in Washington Times

Mr. Art Robinson deserves to be in the United States Congress. He will be one to ask "show me the evidence" of every bill. He will ask where in the constitution authorizes any bill. In simplest terms, he will lead the correct way, whereas his opponent, Rep. DeFazio WILL NOT! ART ROBINSON 2012!

Art Robinson is the nominee for this district, and as pointed out by the Washington Post, he has a good chance of defeating Rep. DeFazio. I truly believe that Art should get a sub-forum! His message is wonderful, and he has been supported by Ron Paul several times! GIVE ART ROBINSON A SUB-FORUM!!! :)

very good article, some interesting points brought up. bump.

It's pretty awesome that Art has already won the endorsement of the Libertarian Party of Oregon.

I'd prefer we take out someone less friendly than DeFazio, but I'll take Art where I can get him.

I do have one warning sign that pops up with Robinson, though... he asked Ron last cycle if there were any sort of secret briefings that would justify our foreign policy actions. He may be swayed by the memos put out by the DoD to Congress.

DeFazio is pretty awful. He has very few redeeming principals if any.

He's anti-PATRIOT Act, anti-Iraq and Afghanistan war, anti-NDAA, and anti-drug war. I'll take that over most Republicans. And it's not even a decision I have to think about for more than a second.

So is Robinson...and add to that Robinson is a sure vote to audit the FED. If we want to limit the ability of government to wage war, we have to curb the FED as you know. I'd take a sure vote to audit the FED over even a little wishy-washiness on defense issues. From what I've read, Art is against unconstitutional wars anyway.

I never said I wouldn't take Art over DeFazio, I merely mentioned that, if given the choice, I'd have Art take on someone who isn't the things I mentioned.

Here is Art's position on war issues. He has the same position as Ron Paul. From his issues page:

The Congress, and only the Congress, has the constitutional authority to declare war. The Constitution is careful to identify that branch of government which alone has the authority to involve the United States of America in military action.

During emergencies or perceived emergencies, however, people sometimes forget about the Constitution. Congress forgets about it most of the time, whether in war or peace. Precedents are established during periods of crisis, especially wartime, that undermine the Constitution, as well as the requirement to honor it.

If the Congress is unwilling to vote a formal declaration of war, our country should not go to war.

We should conduct ourselves so that those in other countries admire us, our liberty, and the goods we offer in trade; so that they seek to emulate our liberty and prosperity; and so that they realize that an attack upon our country would be met with overwhelming force by the finest military that has ever existed. This would assure that we can live in peace and extend our way of life to other peoples –by example, not by force.

Being prepared for war –being so well prepared that potential enemies are deterred –is the best way to keep the peace. These preparations should be directed and guided by the best of our military professionals, not the most powerful of our politicians. And, war itself should be undertaken only when it is absolutely necessary for the defense of our country and after approval as specified in the Constitution.

We live in a dangerous world. So, we should not reduce our military defense. If, however, those resources are spent more wisely and are spent where possible within our borders, the effective economic burden will be reduced.

There are so few men involved with politics that have true integrity-Art Robinson is on the level of Ron Paul and Richard Mack.

I really wish we had a forum for Art Robinson, this looks like a win coming in November, especially after him sending out his book to 150,000 in his district.

The high priests of RPF have declared that Art must have more threads posted about him in the 2012 candidates forum to garner his own subforum. Want a subforum? Start spamming up the forum with Art threads. The others do it for far less important candidates already....
