Maybe the county sheriff could enforce it for them. I doubt the federals would prosecute further but it would make them look pretty bad.

Like, "hey, we got these guys for you, holding in the cell. You can come pick them up."

"nah we gonna let them go even though you've done all the hard work."

A man who had researched the addresses of three Supreme Court justices showed up outside Brett Kavanaugh's house with a gun. Years later, when the federal district court judge sentenced him for his plot to murder multiple Supreme Court justice in order to avert the overturning of Roe V Wade, she told the plotter that she was "heartened" that his murder plot had resulted in his family choosing to affirm his transgender identity right before shaving 22 years off the sentencing guideline and giving him an eight year sentence. She noted that the Trump Administration executive order requiring that all male prisoners be housed with members of their sex caused her to give him a shorter sentence than she otherwise would have given him were he to be accommodated in federal prison by being housed with female inmates.

With time already served, he is eligible for release in four years.
