arking "Court" in violation of Constitution?

Yesterday, I went downtown to contest a ticket.

There was no judge.. just a "officer" appointed by a judge.

Having your case heard by a single person.. sounds a bit fishy. Almost a Mini-Stalin going on here.. and get this.. to appeal you have to pay ten dollars??? What happened to a free trail? o_O; How could this be legit????

Possibly not a criminal offense. If it is a civil infraction, you get NONE of the rights associated with a criminal trial. Also, nobody ever promised you a free APPEAL of your trial.
