Well, I stopped flying to protest the TSA, and it's just too far to drive across the whole United States to reach Washington DC. But if there's an important Ron Paul event in California, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, etc, I'll definitely be there.

I do not fly either unless it is extremely important. I suggest you consider going through the opt-out line and bypass the scanners. If enough people opt-out and demand a pat-down, sooner or later they will stop using the machines.

If you're going to CPAC, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.

Wait, nevermind. That's San Francisco. Why do I always get the two mixed up?

Any idea how many people voted in the last CPAC?

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) scored a victory in the annual CPAC straw poll, besting nine other Republicans in a vote taken by around 2,395 attendees — around 25 percent of the people at this conservative conference. Paul won 31 percent of the vote; Mitt Romney came in second with 22 percent, his first silver medal after winning the last three straw polls. Sarah Palin came in third with 7 percent, and Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-Minn.) came in fourth with 6 percent.

in a vote taken by around 2,395 attendees — around 25 percent of the people at this conservative conference. Paul won 31 percent of the vote

Math:
2,395 voting attendees = 25% of total attendees = 9,580 total attendees in 2010.
31% of the voting attendees voted for Paul = 743 votes for Ron Paul in 2010.

We need to get at least 1,000 votes for him this year due to the fact that (1) More attendees will vote this year since Ron won last year, and (2) More people will attend this year, since it's the February before an election year.

Yeah this and Iowa's Ames Straw Poll later in 2011 are "All hands on deck" for the R3volution!
