Are you a Constitutionalist - a Libertarian - a Conservative - a Liberal - or ?

I'm a Conservative-Constitutionalist-Libertarian... or something to that effect.

There are a few minor aspects of libertarianism that I could live without, but 99.9 percent of people would consider me a straight up libertarian. I usually refer to myself as a conservative or constitutionalist since many people think of libertarian as a dirty word for some odd reason. I guess they've been so brainwashed into believing freedom is a bad thing they scowl at the very thought of it.

Where do you fit on the political scale? (sorry, full link not working )

100% Libertarian - Complete personal freedom, no government involvement.

90%+ Constitutionalist - Strict adherence to the Constitution. Very limited government involvement. States Rights.

60-80%+ Conservative - Support limited government intrusion in peoples daily lives. Support government to protect lives and the nation against foreign aggression and criminals.

50% Moderate - Opposed to a political direction. Unwilling to support a firm position on most political issues.

30%- Liberal - Government interference in most aspects of a person's life particularly with the economy. Government policy to effect social issues.

20%- Socialist - Government involvement in all aspects of life. Personal freedoms restricted.

10%- Fascist - Government control of people and business. Laws for the benefit of the state.

0% Communist - Total government control over the population. No personal freedom.

I'm a god-damn human!!!

Call it silly, but I'm ME. I don't affiliate myself with any party. I don't like labels.

You're right. It is silly. There has to be a political ideology that your ideas fall close to.

its like wearing a shoe. Nobody goes into the store asking for a size 10 2/9. You have to pick between a 10 or a 10 1/2. it would sound absolutely silly for you to go in there and say, "well Im neither, Im ME."

The scale you provide is biased and inaccurate by my account.

Liberals are not 30% while Conservatives are 60%. That's absurd. The best scale you can use is one that rates "Economic Liberty" and "Personal Liberty" separately.

Furthermore, Libertarianism is not anarchism. Anarchism, or anarcho-capitalism, is quite different, despite what the anarcho-capitalists here might have to say about that.

I'm a top-diamond libertarian but not at all an anarchist. I take the Randian perspective that government is a necessary evil.

Went from Neo-conservative over a year ago into the Constitutionalist I am today.

constitutionalist would not mean you don't approve of the government defending the nation..

libertarian/ constitutionalist.

I am personally a very conservative person. I am a radically saved and redeemed Christian and have personal views befitting that description, however, it is my opinion that those who would try to use the power of the state to advance the kingdom of God are making a mistake. The more power the state has over a person the less influence the Church can have in society. Christ was all about freedom. The freedom to choose. A person who is not free to make a bad choice is not really free at all.
