"a software or hardware configuration that, while inelegant, inefficient, clumsy, or patched together, succeeds in solving a specific problem or performing a particular task."

Umm.... Taxes?

Taxes solve our problems, even if some people try to resist. Obviously, you don't want humanity to succeed because you are selfish and absorbed into making a profit while screwing those who try to love you.
Taxes: Armed robbery at virtual gunpoint. Pay up or die! Your choice. :D

Please try to not LOVE me, quite so much Comrade! :p

No, I don't support any of his issues. He is retarded, and a Muslim, at least that is what a lot of people believe. My mother thinks he could be an alquida spy. Tee hee. Ignorance.

"Demobcrazy only works UNTIL the majority learns that it too can feed at the public trough."

Absolutely. And the numbers already feeding at the trough are astronomical. And it's not just illegal immigrants and welfare slouches. Social Security/SSI/Medicare recipients, government employees, teachers, doctors, the military, defense contractors, farmers, everybody who owes their job to a government grant.. the list goes on and on. We're not just outnumbered, we're cornered.

All that, and I STILL have hope.:)

We are ridiculously outnumbered. We've conditionally trained our population to look to the Gov't when they need help.

It's a battle that I don't even begin to imagine I know how to fight against.

Fortunately we won't have to.

The "system" is unsustainable.

It will collapse of it's own weight.

The $64,000 question is:

Do we help push it over the edge, or stand by and watch?

I currently live in southern California and it must have changed since you left.I do agree w/ you that Mexicans are hard workers in general, but I also believe a majority does not give a FUCK about our nation. The best example of this was a few years back when my whole town erupted in protest over a bill that was passed that would have made it a felony to hire illegals.Guess what? They repealed the law. The worst part about this was THEY ALL FLEW MEXICAN FLAGS and had signs that said Mexican pride, Fuck the USA, attacked me and about 50 other AMERICANS who were flying the AMERICAN flag and trying to convince them that they should be doing the same if they really wanted our help. Not only do they disrespect our country, I have heard many speak of attempting a coup in California.I don't know about you, but I will protect my land and country to the death. Not my government, but my country.

BTW they came at us with shotguns, hammers and bats. Luckily the Police showed up within 30 seconds.

In all honesty, the US stole that fucking land from them. They're just taking back what was once their land. Just be happy they aren't doing what we did to them: pillage, rape, and murder. If you want to attack someone, rip Murdock out of his house and show him a thing or two.

How interesting, I am also from Los Angeles and our crime rates are ridiculously high, imho. School system sucks and is overrun/overflowing with illegals - dozens of health centers/hospitals closing etc.. I never believed in "they are hard working" line of thinking - if you are making a living and supplying for your family, you are working hard, regardless of where you are from. Also, an american wanting a "fair" wage is not lazy.

Sounds like another apologist looking to make a point.

Also, the idea that tens of millions of new amnesty given citizens would want a big government monstrosity is also because that is the culture that is brewing in america. You set a new citizen in here, and that is the culture they will adopt. Given that (mostly from mexico) of these illegals are escaping a corrupt government into the loving arms of the lucky charms pot of gold, you sure as well bet there will be NO dissention to a socialistic environment. Shit, if they are doing abosolutely nothing to change their OWN government for the better, you sure as hell better understand they are just along for the ride in this one.

Can you can make a general statement about people like that? Look at yourself, this country is fucked! Is it your fault?

Here we go, it's all these migrant workers causing all life's problems. Sounds a lot like Hitler talking about the Jews. You are really missing the forest for the trees here, you do realize Rupert Murdock pays zero in taxes?

"In 1999, The Economist reported that Newscorp Investments had made £1.4 billion ($2.1 billion) in profits over the previous 11 years but had paid no net corporation tax. "

It's just a matter of getting people to realize how much worse it will be and,

how much harder it will be to stop it(corrupt gov.) from taking the Constitution away from Us completely and getting it back if that would be at all possible. All in the name of protecting Us from Ourselves. And it will not be law enforcement patrolling Our streets and serving justice. It will be private security employed by corporations unaccountable.

We have a winner. It will collapse. Just a matter of when. The Royal Bank of Scotland gives us three months. Of course we have to go to other countries media to see what is REALLY going on with our own. Our media is completely subverted.

What we MUST be doing working on setting up a trading network with each other using sound money - or anything two parties agree on as it is their freaking business. Personally I like gold or silver. I'll take copper too if others will accept it from me. That way:

1) You get to hold on to at least 50% of your labor by not reporting it for taxation.
2) Your purchasing power will not be stolen via inflation.
3) When the bad guy's system collapses, our trading system will continue to function.
4) You can hide from the bad guys in plain sight! It is a virtual Galt's gulch - those who have read Atlas Shrugged will understand.

If the system were centralized, the bad guys would will have to meet with other countries taxation departments to see where these servers are located and cooperate by raiding the business, arresting the owners, seize records, terrorize the participants, and ensure the media publicizes it. Canada's Financial "Intelligence" agency is already making noise about it, using that old standby of "terrorist" or "criminals" are using sites like e-Gold. I wrote an article on it

By de-centralizing the system (a la BitTorrent or other P2P software) if the bad guys get one or two of us, however it doesn't shut the network down.

I could go on with other concepts, but I wanted to throw the line out there if folks like the idea and they'll tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends, and so on, and so on.:D

I'm surrounded by those who think Obama is the best choice, but now that the (freedom/big gov) argument has had exposure, it's going to be interesting to see how they react now that Obama voted for telecom immunity and will go on eroding liberties and promoting the empire.
