The 4 delegates (national convention) is a projected result from the straw poll. In reality, delegates are voted on separately in Nevada. First, the however many thousand delegates that were selected today will need to vote in the County Convention for State Delegates, then the State Delegates vote for 33(?) delegates to the national convention.

When will they be pledged.... that is what I want to know! When will we know how many RP supporting delegates make it to the state level?

edit: OUR county convention is on March 1st (your county may vary). There, the state delegates will be chosen, and the state convention is April 17th (or therabouts) and EVEN THEN WE WILL KNOW NOTHING!! The delegates remain 100% unpledged all the way to the National Convention.

That is why the straw vote is called non-binding!! It means NOTHING--except for media value, viability, etc.

Different counties might be holding their convention on different dates. I was under the impression the Clark County Convention was in February, but I haven't checked into it much yet.

I should have put "OUR county convention". My bad. My wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and grandfather-in-law are primary delegates. Our county convention is on March 1st. I am the #1 alternate (I was letting others volunteer for it since I was the precinct chairman--and they got in ahead of me).
