Reading this I am starting to wonder if the exit polls are a trick.

Say that Paul was supposed to get 20% but he's "only" getting 12% and so suddenly he's underperformed when none of the media or polls had showed him doing well before today.
If we come in second, how fast will the media stop covering these results?
