What I bolded I agree with completely. Ron is itching to give HIS speech and I'd love to see him get the chance, however it may be. Whatever flows from that can only be a good thing. The reality of RP being VP is quite another thing, however.
Imagine he and Romney trying to get their positions to jibe enough to mount a unified campaign. That would take more than an etch-a-sketch could deliver. Romney could not abandon his entire campaign platform and Ron won't budge on his principles. We've all heard Ron say he could only endorse if a candidate moved towards HIM, not the other way around.
I'd love to see the speech, but I just don't see Ron Paul as Mitt Romney's VP. That's all I'm saying. I just want to see Ron's strength at the convention maximized in every way possible. If a VP nominating speech is part of that, fine by me. Of course, I'm still holding on to my delusion of Ron Paul being our next POTUS.
