Are Ron Paul Donations Now Dropping?

People are saving up.

Criticism that a money bomb doesn't really represent "one-day" donations is mostly valid.

Still, the exposure we'll get from our one-day $10 million money bomb on December 16th will be greater than the exposure we'd get from drip-drip-drip donating $10 million over the next five weeks.

It speaks very strongly about the level of communication and cooperation between supporters.

That, and a $20 million quarter would be pretty darn good for anybody. Definitely big league.

You know, I was worried before going into November 5th being that Paul only had $2.7 Million in the bank. After the 5th, my worries went away. I know the same will happen here, as this one is getting even more hype.

we'll be fine as long as the Tea Party is as huge as we're making it out to be, anything short of spectacular and we'll seem disappointed to what we supporters accomplished on the 5th

Whether it is a $12 million quarter or a $20 million quarter -- and both would be impressive, especially given that so many were suprised when we jumped to $5 million last quarter, it's a huge amount of momentum, the key (I believe) will be really insightful use of the money to know and learn what activities provide the greatest "bang for the buck". What do people think those are? How should the money perhaps best be spent in different areas?

They haven't posted offline donations since before the money bomb. Relax. Also, if you go to ronpaulgraphs.com, you'll see that donations were evenly divided between new donors and repeat donors. 50% new donors is astounding.

Aren't you the same person who started the thread "Ron Paul as Vice President For Barack Obama"?

Aren't you the same person that links to his own blog rather than direct links to articles?

You trolls could do a little more to hide your motivations no?

I'm pointing out (my view) that time is short, that it will take a lot of money, and that the money bombs may not (I am not sure, asking others for their view) may not be contributing as much towards the overall final quater numbers as one might otherwise expect.

People are getting caught up on how much money is raised, but money is only a means to an end. Then comes media coverage and hopefully rise in polls. That all has to be accomplished on an accelerated timeline for Ron Paul to win.

The Grassroots section has a popular thread on transferring Ron Paul's online prowess into real world election results. This I believe is critical as well.

Heh. Reading that makes me wonder if he might actually *be* Obama. Long rhetoric, no answer.

Remember when the rebels blew up the Death Star? The attack leader told one of the pilots in awe of the size of the space base to cut the chatter and focus on the mission. We have to to the same. Forget about what Huckabee is doing, don't worry about the day to day fluctuation on our end. If we get out and convert more to the candidacy of Ron Paul we will make history many times over this December.

And Glenn Beck will probably say I'm a terrorist for talking about Star Wars and Luke Skywalker's bombing of the Death Star...

Let's not forget that we are gaining exposure. The number of new donors was over 15,000 on the money bomb, from what I remember... New donors will definitely keep coming in , the more people learn about DrP.

Also, we have to consider that some of us may have hit our $2300 maximum for the year. ****CORRECTION - I thought that you could donate 2300 per year, but its 2300 per election. I think I heard "election year" and like a dufis understood that to be per year. Wrong. Only $2300/election

I think all is well, and that the money bombs grab more attention than daily donations, so it may be just as well if the donations come in on the teaparty. :)

I ain't donating nothing until the 16th. Why would I? The only way to get media attention is with money bombs. I am poor and will give when it counts the most. I assume many others have my thoughts exactly.

I hope not. Hillary, Obama, Rudy and Romney all have very rich country club donors who have maxed out their donations. If they were allowed to give again it will not be good.

Oh your not alone

Take a look at the 14 day totals chart, grey bars versus yellow. This appears worrisome.

While he is now at $8.2 million for the quarter, more than half of this came on a single day! I wonder if money bombs represent NEW money, or instead money that would have been donated at a different time. Does anyone have any information or informed views on this?

Maybe the next money bomb will eliminate any worry.

Hi,

I thought I would reply to you in order to give you a clue as to how diverse Ron Paul's backing really is.

I am: Age 62; Traditional white female and retired from a major corporation non-management position; Now living on a fixed income; I have voted three parties over the years; I have just convinced (I think) my 82 year old Mother to vote for Ron Paul and am working on my children:
<smile> I am encouraging Mom to talk to her friends at the Condo also. And I am emailig other relatives, acquaintances, and friends about Ron Paul.

I have thus far purchased a Ron Paul rubber stamp to stamp my money and mail and T-shirt to wear to the next Marshall Thundering Herd football game. (Abt 16,000 student enrollment BTW) Will be putting something on my car and in my yard also. Joined a meetup group here and hope to spread the word to Marshall students. I think there may be a group there now, but will look into it.

As far as donations, I will be a new member when I donate on the next Bombing Raid Day. Since I am on a limited income, I am waiting for the Tea Party to sign up.

I plan to ask my children to donate instead of giving gifts this year at Christmas also.

Hope this helps a little.

They're going down because people are holding back for Decemeber 16th, they did the same for November 5th.
