I think it is pretty shocking that anyone would even think online polls are a waste of time. They have given Paul a mention in online article and even TV coverage numerous times. I guess if dozens of free press mentions is a complete waste of time, than online and TV ads are also a waste of time, right?

I have no idea Danke , I have never studied that polling data against results , other poliing data . If they are political election polls , I honestly , have to wonder how many people vote in on line polls that do not habitually vote in elections ?? I am sure Amy's husband is a lucky guy and knows it :) . So far I have to agree with Dr 3 D & Satchelmcqueen . What did Santa bring you Danke ?

Do they provide useful information? If you want to measure the visitors to a certain site, yes, they can measure the opinions of those visitors. Can they be used to infer how the general population feels on an issue? No becasue the sample is not representative of the general population.

Kind of my thoughts , but I am willing to be proven wrong ...

They are certainly no true barometer of actual public sentiment. And flooding polls with thousands of votes so Ron wins with 95% of the vote only gives ammo to those who would claim his campaign is nothing but a bunch of noise from a very vocal minority.
