Yep, the vagueness of the date would give a good excuse for the bomb to continue.

I think the "End the IRS" theme might be too divisive.

Yea, instead of "End the IRS" it seems like it might be more effective and less divisive to make it personal and emotional, as opposed to policy and department oriented.

Like: "Stop Stealing My Money!" or something more graceful.

Yea, you are right that since this is basically aimed at Paul supporters. Hardcore Paul people will not have a problem with it.

But since Ron Paul does not want to immediately end the IRS, it could mislead casual onlookers about Ron's Plan and turn off potential voters.
Just a thought.

What's more personal and emotional, "End the Fed" or "Stop inflating my money".

I'd damn sure pick End the Fed.

If we held a moneybomb on the 100th anniversary of the Fed's creation, wouldn't the obvious choice be End the Fed?

And WHO is it going to divide? Republicans are tremendously opposed to the IRS. So many of them what it eliminated that it should be a point that we reach out to them on to bring them in.

This is a fund raiser, not a mind changing campaign. The people who will give money to Paul will absolutely agree with ending the IRS.

Also, there are MANY (MANY) people who loathe Paul who are against the IRS. My parents are Gingrich supporters and they want the IRS abolished and have for years.

They really do though. At least the VAST majority of them do. It's not even close. That's like saying, not all Paul supporters want to End the Fed.

And yes, I realize that. This thread isn't about whether or not Paul can eliminate the income tax, is it?

April 24th 2012 10 year anniversary predictions moneybomb. Social media and twitter bomb the advertisements at least a week prior. The april 24th 2002 speech was very powerful when I listened to it. He asked to look back in 5-10 years why not honor the man and do just that. We can also take advantage of advertising to possibly swing some voters before the 24th.

Can we set a date, first? Let's talk date first so we can get that out of the way. Are we sold on the 15th-17th? What about the 15th (Sunday) and then the entire week of the 16th?

I really liked the "Ssshh. There's Something Happening Here." Moneybomb idea that was tossed around earlier. Using silhouette pictures with the Buffalo Springs song to promote the message.

Posting information about laws and executive orders that are restricting our liberty slowly.. Showing totals coming in for delegate counts that media is not showing..

I think it's safe to say our theme will revolve around taxes. And I think that's good considering the date.

So, I still think "End the IRS" is a little too strong. We need something broad such as "Tax Day Money Bomb" or "Quit the Spending!"

And let's go ahead and set the date for the 15th and surely the campaign will extend it for a few days.

"I wan't to have money for the weekend so I'll donate less now" ?
"I'll donate a lot and just keep it low key this weekend" ?
"Wow I didn't spend as much as I thought I would on the weekend I'll donate the rest" ?
"I'll donate more since it's only a work week away until I get paid again" ?

Read through the last couple pages of joshnorris14's arguments. Basically, we can get the campaign to extend the MB no matter what. The argument is that the 15th is generally tax day. However, for the next few weeks, taxes will be on people's minds no matter what.

It was the first time that I noticed what was happening to Dr. Paul and quite frankly the first time I have EVER donated my hard earned money to a campaign.

If you think that these moneybombs and the work put into promotion aren't effective then think again because I am a direct product of their impact. I don't know who were the people that accelerated and really drove that moneybomb home but it was a great job and I've never really thanked anyone for it.
