"Mitt Romney eked out a narrow win in Maine's Republican caucuses, state party officials announced Saturday, providing his campaign with a much-needed boost after three straight losses earlier this week. But the former Massachusetts governor's margin of victory over rival Ron Paul was so slim it all but guaranteed scrutiny of the party's decision not to count the results of caucuses scheduled later in February."

You GOP apologists can go eat a fried banana. Once again, shady political bullshit at its finest.

PS -- 200 vote difference for 2nd in a nation of 300 million, and a state with a population of 1.3 million? We're doing amazing.

I'm no GOP apologist. I do think this is really horrid. I would imagine that we could probably have this decision reversed.

Would anyone like to contact Paul LePage? He'll probably endorse Romney, but he's not anathema to our cause.

Well then I guess a large voting bloc of people who know how to navigate these caucuses will "refuse" to vote for him in any party election again. I know that's how I would feel, if was active in the Maine GOP.

That would be exactly the wrong thing to do... that's what they want us to do.

They want us to give up. We won't, and we won't "settle down."

Is that a direct quote from that link? I don't see that quote anywhere in the article.

Funny, weren't there about 200 votes to be had in Washington County, postponed due to 1-3" of snow?

if someone still thinks theres no fraud or something shady going on... i dont know what to say lol. they simply wont vote because they dont believe ron could score a win.. even though it is possible. if its possible, they should still count the votes.

at least mainstream media is reporting this shenanigans.

I dont see much evidence that they can account for all the counties or precinct totals that have already voted. The process in Maine is some guy calls the media and tells them the totals? Nowhere to provide such information by county, by precinct, nothing. Fucking joke.

By "him" I meant the chair, not RP.

My point is that when an elected leader does something really indefensible, they get pulled down. This was a bitter decision that thousands of RP grassroots will not forgive. Assuming they *stay* in the party, the current Maine chair will have a hard time winning elections .... for anything.

Do you really want to piss off 1/3 of the party base, who know how to navigate the caucuses? Just sayin'

U mean to tell me that our grassroots can provide more detailed information about the votes than the Maine GOP? I say bullshit.

The SHADINESS of the GOP SHENANIGANS needs to go viral, and it just might spur an INCREASE in donations to the NOBP Moneybomb.

Stranger things have happened.

Sounds like a good reason to "stay" in the party. LOL

If history is any indicator, the campaign will roll over and allow itself to be treated like this.
