It is usually a small business that is showing too many expenses and not enough income.
You will need to prove that the income stated is accurate and that the expenses deducted are accurate.
So gather up all your receipts. I do not remember having to declare assets per se, but we were asked about our car payments and house payments, etc., and present birth certificates for the children, had to show utility bills, to determine if our income matched our lifestyle.
The lady said, this doesn't make sense, you can't live on what you say you make. I said we're not, we are 2 months behind on everything, which we were. .
In the end, we did have to pay in a couple of thousand on account of poor records. They took payments
