I thought I saw a few Ron Paul supporters running for governor. Do you know about any? A governor could oppose federal tyranny in ways that a congressman could not. If I find anything, I will post it here.

I don't know if he's a Ron Paul supporter, but Michael Munger (Libertarian) in NC seems wicked awesome. I wish he was running Republican, so he had a better shot at winning, but I applaud his principled opposition to the two-party system.

I want to make sure and remove arnold out of california as well. He is BIG BUSINESS to say the least. Eminent domain is how california will be moving more and more for our "progress".

If we can get california, texas and new york led by the constitution I think the rest will soon fall in line and WAKE UP and realize that we are simply lying to ourselves to pretend that anything that is going on in this nation is LEGAL.

T. Lee Horne is Louisiana is a friend of our own Brent Sanders, if I recall correctly, and is likewise running for governor there on the freedom platform as a Libertarian.

Sarah paulin is good but not as strong as Ron Paul but I think she is way better then the current mess. Also, Mark sanford, same thoughts on him.

Alas, I too applaud principled opposition to the 2-party system, but running as a Libertarian just wouldn't cut it... he should take a que from Ron Paul.

Kinky Friedmen might run for governor of Texas again in 2010.

We don't have a candidate in New Jersey yet for Governor, but I can tell you for sure that the Grass Roots are looking for one in 2009...

Sarah Paulin is the acting governor of Alaska, right? I would like to hear more about her if I could.

Mark Sanford is the governor of South Carolina. Again, any information would be most appreciated.

John W. Aiken for Washington governor

Does anyone know anything about John W. Aiken? He is running for governor of Washington. On his myspace page, his top friend is Rep. Ron Paul. That is about the extent of my knowledge.

Kinky stated that he would run under the Democrat ticket. I wonder if he's changed his opinions or if he thinks he'll have a better shot under an established party? I voted for James Werner-L last time - I just didn't think Kinky was really in it to win it.

The TX Governor's race is a good example of why it might be better to work within the two-party system than outside of it. 61% of Texans who voted did NOT want Rick Perry as Governor. Unfortunately, the 61% was spread out over 4 other candidates and as a result, Perry won with only 39% of the vote!

From Wikipedia:

In an August 23, 2007 interview with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Friedman stated that if he did run in 2010, he would run as a Democrat, citing that "God probably couldn't have won as an independent".
