Any Free Market advocates up for debate?

This website refers to advocates of the Free Market as "Paultards" and "Randroids". You have to sift through some ad hominem but it does seem they have some decent arguments.

Don't we have to go back to America in the 1840's (after the central bank) -> 1860's to determine how laissez-faire free markets worked? Have we had truly free markets since?
