anti-mccain vets want to start a REVOLUTION in the GOP

Ok, now you have an army!

Success in revolution you need three basic element:

Support - You
Army - Veterans
The Man - Ron Paul

If you guys understand your momentum, now, against the "singing bird" witch could be a good name for this operation, there is a win in front of you.

Huckabee is just a priest in the way to battle.

How do we derail someone with so many delegates --- do the delegates have to vote for Mccain when they get to the convention?

Yes, but not forever. After two or three rounds, when McLame gives up, etc. according to state rules/law, they are unbound. That's the magical point where the brokered convention begins! We have to reach that point!

Here is what I would have sent if the email didn't fail:

I recently read an article detailing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth's "revolution" within the GOP party and corresponding attacks on John McCain. I just wanted to take the time to wish the Swift Boat Vets luck. I am a grassroots volunteer for the Ron Paul campaign for presidency. We advocate small government, fiscal conservatism, and among many other things, veteran's rights. I am not here to spout about the campaign, but to take time offer every Swift Boat Veteran good luck and urge you to look, if you already haven't, into Dr. Paul.

We need to return the GOP party to its conservative roots. Every election, they move closer and closer to the liberal viewpoints. Eventually, this will destroy the Republican party and give way to unchallenged big government. I truly believe that we are fighting for the same cause. The word of your efforts are spreading within the grassroots supporters of Ron Paul and I am sure you will recieve many more e-mails such as this one. It is time to de-rail McCain and change the course of this Country.

Short, sweet... you could come up with something better.

You...

Prison Planet: reliability is our middle name. Of course, our first name is "Full of Bullshit." But who uses first names anymore?

Alex Jones is your "Good Morning America!" He is the voice, he have the balls, he is your best quest and best voice! He can get the people to their momentum, he can make them believe, he is your man number 2!

While such an attack by this group might be good for the Ron Paul campaign, negative advertising is morally wrong and politically hazardous.
Attack ads are only morally wrong if they are untrue or intentionally deceptive. It's perfectly moral to highlight the worst things about a person.

We have to get these guys on our team. They seem to have the nads to publicly fling poo at Juan McCain.

I don't think we need a public association with them. We don't want Dr. Paul painted as a mudslinger at this late date. These guys are controversial, and not everyone approves of them.

Besides, they are on our side. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Didn't Ron Paul put a bill in or something to try to open the POW files McCain had blocked?? Or to somehow look into POW? Someone look that up and mention it in a letter/email.

I just sent an email to Ted Sampley and Trevor Lyman, asking both of them to get both organizations to work together.

I think the cooperation of both groups could do a lot of damage to mccain.

I'll edit this post with their replies.

Bull, it's immoral to say nothing. Unjustified wars that kill hundreds of thousands of people are immoral.

As some others have said....I think their efforts are fantastic, especially when you read the details of what they allege. But tying our campaign, even the grassroots effort, to this would be very damaging. Imo, just let them do their work, and if you choose to support, ride with, or defend them, then I'd do it as a concerned American or conservative, but not as part of the campaign or even grassroots effort.... Again, jmo.

Yes, the attack part I understand. The Revolution within the GOP? I urge them to come join us.

I agree. We should work to build a coalition with these folks as we certainly have a common goal... Return the GOP back to its roots bringing true conservatism back into the fray, by way of a revolution.

I have been an àdvocate for leaving this party that I have grown to despise even with my personal free market fiscal conservative philosophies but I am now leaning on plugging my nose, getting more involved in the party to work to change it. I still vow to NEVER çast a vote for one of these neocons, fake or even semi conservatives...NEVER again, but I will work within the framework of the party to out these traitors.

Ron Paul Cosponsors "Combat Veterans Debt Elimination Act"
Posted February 8th, 2008 by manystrom

(PressMediaWire) Washington, DC Feb. 06, 2008

Congressman Ron Paul has signed on as a cosponsor of legislation that would prohibit the Secretary of Veterans Affairs from collecting certain debts owed to the United States by members of the Armed Forces and veterans who die as a result of an injury incurred or aggravated on active duty in a combat zone.

If a service member dies in combat and has received Montgomery GI benefits, his or her surviving family members are required to repay those loans.

So far the VA has attempted to recover over $56,000 from the families of 22 deceased service members, with the bulk of the money owed in the form of college loans.

“This practice is an outrage and adds insult to injury to our fallen war heroes. They have given their lives in service to their country and they deserve better than this,” stated Congressman Paul.

Untrue or misleading negative advertising is morally wrong.

But saying John Doe voted for A, when everybody hates A, is not immoral even though it could be construed as negative advertising.
