Another Ron Paul convert due to the debate...

Yes. What is so hard not to love about the truth?

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!

Everyone around me is voting Ron Paul. I'm like the Borg when it comes to getting people around me to vote for Ron Paul, resistence is futile. One guy is voting for Ron Paul because he thinks it will help Obama win, I said thanks. :)

One of my best friends has been leaning Romney / Bachmann. I've been slipping Ron Paul info to him every now and then. Well, last night during the debate he sends me a text that basically said: "Man, I'm voting for Ron Paul. Everything he says makes sense...he's just up there telling the truth."

It is working!

lol ace! I really feel we are watching history unfolds before our eyes.

Edit: not just watching history unfolds, but being part of unfolding history!

Well my little story - I always wear my RP hat around Houston (along with bumper sticker and t-shirt if clean). Getting an estimate from a plumber a few days back and he say's all of a sudden "hey, I really like your guy". When I realize what he is talking about I do a quick pitch why RP is getting my vote. He agrees saying that Ron is the man. Another vote coming our way deep in the heart of .....

A co-worker had told me that she saw Ron doing well in the Iowa poll. I told her to watch the debate that night (Thursday). The next day, she said "I really liked Ron Paul. He's not a typical politician. But his foreign policy is not the Republicans foreign policy". We talked further, and she left very impressed with him.

Because while the truth will set you free, first it's going to piss you off. The hardest part about being a person armed with the truth is that people often want to shoot the messenger. The truth makes them angry & they lash out at the source of the truth telling instead of directing their anger at the liars who've been manipulating them for years.

I have had this happen to me many times and the best way to respond is to outright say that "it wasn't my policies that caused this mess so you should blame the ones who lied to you and not me." At this point the tantrum against you would end immediately, followed by a silence and I have even had several people apologize. LOL Assure them that there are no hard feelings and that we are on the same side. And know that the truth is very powerful tool which once revealed cannot be subverted especially with outright lies.

My grandparents (Newt fans before Newt was cool) know I'm a diehard RP supporter. Tonight they asked me, "Did you watch the debate last night?" I said yes. My grandpa said, "I may have to vote for your man Paul. He makes a lot of good points." :) He's catching on!

I think the passion that we have for our guy, even four years after 2007, makes people at least take a look at him. "Why is my friend/relative/etc. so into this guy? Okay, let's see what he has to say..."

That's because Ron Paul drops truth bombs instead of wasting money on real bombs killing innocent people causing more terrorism and hatred toward America. Some get it but the sheep/cattle or mass tools of the establishment Republican Party don't.

I've been slowly bringing my folks on board. We watched the last debate together and everything started clicking, from their understanding of RPs views on the issues, to the overt media and establishment bias. The absolute clincher was the Leno interview. They got to see how honest and humble and dedicated he is.
Toady, they asked me how to purchase some swag and how to donate. I gladly showed them. Now they're spreading the word! I feel great.
Btw, I was wearing the same t-shirt Joe Rogan was wearing, so of course, that's the one my dad had to have!
Also, I have 3 RP t-shirts (ordered 3 more). I cannot tell you how many conversations i have with strangers because of the shirts. They are VERY effective as a marketing tool. I greatly recommend everyone to purchase and wear them often.
For liberty!

Good news! And great to hear the shirt works!

i have a lot of folks that have told me they will attend a caucus this March. 98% of them would never consider voting in a republican caucus were it not for our guy (and several years of soft-marketing). coworker that follows his wife when it comes to voting - and she's a hardcore democrat - was just told to keep March 3rd open and as his wife loved RP in the debate he insinuated he will. it's so much easier to market our guy to folks now than it was 4 years ago.

well done all.

One of my co-workers has a history major and is a staunch republican. We agree on most things except the foreign policy angle. He comes up to me Friday and says, "So, you hear Ron Paul blames America for 911? Holy crap, here we go again. He does it in such a condescending way; almost like how Newt smiles and you want to wipe it right off his face. I said, "when was the last time Switzerland was attacked by terrorists?" I can see his gears start turning in his head and then dodges my question. He then proceeds to talk about Israel and how we need to stick up for them to spread democracy in the region. It goes on and on. I think over time he might understand, but its taking quite a lot of patience.

Another co-worker came by and talked about how she can't believe how much the government took from her bonus. She's my next target and hopefully might be easier!

Ask you co-worker if he knows who "Mr. Republican" is? Republicans and conservatives have a long history of Non-Interventionism all they have to do is look for it.
