I never said I was wise ... I'm just not inclined to hide under a bed and fear for my life because we have police on the streets.

My father is 75 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I remember the stories he told of Irish cops (Very predominate in the 40's and 50's in NY) constantly harassing he and his buddies (Italians) for standing on corners or driving around. The cops would constantly sling slurs about the Italians and constantly profiled--so it definitely isn't a new concept, but it has gotten worse around the country.

Laws have changed ... People, not so much.

Lifestyle ... While others went to college, I went in the military.
Then when I went to college, I was living on my own and had no use for dormatory life.

But that doesn't mean I have not experienced theft.

You were about 10 years early for that, so that probably explains at least some of why your experience is different. The police state has grown and changed. That is simply not true, if you had long hair you were subject to being harassed and searched all the time. And short hair was no guarantee of immunity.
Cops harassed kids just as much then as they do now. And the war on drugs though maybe not called as such was very much in play.

No argument from me. people have always had authoritarian tendencies. There is a nonstop constant trend in that direction and until people understand that it will go unchecked.

This always ends badly.

I have confronted you in numerous threads about you being nothing but a troll who posts only about Obama conspiracy theories and how the police are so friendly to everyone (throw in the occasional post insulting another member, usually someone younger than you, for their perceived ignorance because of their age). Nobody listens and bans you like the other trolls so I stopped doing that but I'll still neg rep you for offensive posts or ones that I deem to be incredibly stupid so that maybe one day you will realize the error of your ways and start being a productive poster as well as an actual RP supporter. Until that day I'll keep neg repping all of your troll posts.

I'm damn near as old as you, brother, but I will openly admit that I get huge kick out of The Simpsons.

Especially in the early years, when hard core libertarian John Schwartzwelder was one of the primary writers/producers/consultants on the show.
