Ann Coulter: There are no more Rockefeller Republicans; Romney is the most conservative

“Conservative” now means to bomb and kill more than Obama does and to deny Palestinians the right to exist. That’s what “conservatism” means in 2012. As long as you do those things and talk a lot about Obamacare, and come up with some lame excuse why you supported bailouts you’re in.

It is not so much that, as that they have redefined conservatism to be anyone who wants less big government than the left does. In truth the Republican party positions today resemble the Democratic Party of the early 1960's, and the Democrat Party of today is where the Socialist Party was in the same era. The last 50 years or so, we have seen a slow steady movement to the left by both parties.

That is why it is so important that the libertarian/conservative wing of the GOP continues to grow and keep people informed on the issues that matter the most to them. The American people are with us on the issues, we just need to be able to communicate to them in a way that resonates with them. That inability to communicate with the voters, coupled with our tendency to get sidetracked onto niche issues is where we have failed in recent years.

Coulter is delusional.

Is this the same Rockefeller behind Monsanto with Bill Gates that she speaks of?

Ann Coulter: Romney is the most conservative candidate, Sean Hannity: Anybody but Ron Paul

Back in December, while all the candidates were still running.

Same bandwagon as Michelle Malkin... They are PAID pundits to parrot whatever the Money Masters (Roger Ailes/Murdoch) mandate at FOX NEWS CORP. If they don't, they are on the street.

I would like to see the list on how much money these TV clowns have taken to sellout America.

For me it's NOBP but for others here they seem to think a Romney/Paul ticket would be good (even if it was just Rand) which I completely disagree with because Romney is a big-government Republican (RINO, Rockefeller, whatever you want to call it).

Anyone catch that supposed "Ron Paul supporter" on TV saying he wished people would just give in and let Romney be the nominee? Yeah...that will happen.

I like how Jim Antle calls Obamneycare "Coultercare." That must really burn that despicable statist's bony ass.

(As an aside, follow Jim on the twitter ^. His snark is delightful, and he's very Paul-friendly.)

These kinds of discussions over the years have led me to believe that we need to craft a better narrative, and change the discussion to anti-statism vs. pro-statism, as opposed to "liberal vs. conservative", or even "Dem vs. Rep". I know Ron Paul does this to some extent, but I wonder if we should go even further in driving this framework home.

The terms liberal and conservative have mutated so much over the years in our society that it makes serious discussion of issues difficult, and can obfuscate some pretty important differences.

Rockefeller Republicans were always the mainstream ones. That's not new.

Romney is the most conservative? WHAT!

In her mind, conservative= less domestic spending + more military spending (regardless of how much we're spending right now, MORE MORE MORE).

What's most disappointing is that she has said some really good things about Dr. P. Called him "magnificent" on domestic policy and said he was at least better than Obama on foreign policy.

Pretty sad to say "we right-wingers have won" when the guy leading in the latest national poll voted for the largest increase in the welfare state in 40 years (Santorum, Medicare part D)

How can anyone with any form of a rational objective mind suggest that Romney is the most conservative? I shouldn't be surprised by Coulter, but honestly expected more from her. I guess "Anbody but Obama" is the holy mantra.

THIS.

Forget about "Left & Right" as well. Escape the Left-Right Paradigm. Its only about Liberty vs. Statism.

Conservatism in 1970's: No fiat currency. Respect for individual liberties. Sound fiscal responsibility. Smaller government.
Conservatism in 2012: Hate the Democrats.

Congratulations GOP. Rockefeller Republicans are now the mainstream Republicans.

Thats true, now all we have is Obama Republicans to choose from (except for Paul). Rockefeller wasn't for insurance mandates.
