Ann Coulter says Biden ‘had the balls’ to withdraw from Afghanistan — unlike Trump

Trump does another flip-flop and now says that US should have kept troops at the largest US military base in Afghanistan:

Trump says key Afghanistan military base should have been kept open to keep an eye on Iran, China
August 25, 2021
"We should have sent the people out very safely, and we would have had Bagram open. That was always going to be — we should have kept Bagram because Bagram is between China. It has total access to China, Iran, and Afghanistan. And I guess they didn't realize that they abandoned it," Trump told Lisa Boothe on her podcast, The Truth with Lisa Boothe.

That said, Ann is being tad bit too harsh on Trump and he shares some credit with Biden for preparing the ground for exit... even if Trump did not prioritize ending Afghan war and spent first couple of years surging troops/escalating Afghan war (convinced by old commie era photos of Afghan women in skirts apparently), moving Israel embassy and launching global LGBTQ civil rights/anti anti-semitism/social justice campaigns (as important as those were).

Ann Coulter says Biden ‘had the balls’ to withdraw from Afghanistan — unlike Trump

Ann Coulter is the newest unlikely new member of the Joe Biden fan club.

The conservative pundit effusively praised President Biden for being man enough to end the U.S. war in Afghanistan.

The sometimes critic of former President Trump called the onetime leader a “wuss” for failing to deliver on his promise to withdraw all troops during his four-year stint in the Whtie House.

“Trump REPEATEDLY demanded that we bring our soldiers home, but only President Biden had the balls to do it,” Coulter tweeted Tuesday after Biden’s speech defending the withdrawal of troops.

Coulter is a staunch opponent of U.S. military involvement overseas and foreign aid. She is also a harsh critic of immigration, both legal and illegal.

She is tapping into widespread popular support for Biden’s decision, even among his political opponents.

Seriously?

Look, I know it's important to you to deny to yourself the obvious fact that every president this century has been a figurehead, because that would make your cuckish desire to consume orange sausage idol worship. But you really should open a window and let the fog clear enough to realize that Biden is a senile, doddering old fool who isn't allowed to answer questions, and can't remember last May even happened.

Jesus. I haven't seen so much talk about the testicles of Alzheimer's-ridden old codgers since the 1980s.

Are old coot cojones bread or circuses?

I never said that Biden wasn't a puppet. He probably has no idea where he is right now.

What a crock of shit!

As if Coulter ever supported ending any intervention!
Trump certainly did have the balls to do it. Democrats plus Cheney tied his hands and made up lies to stop him.

Remember this huge stinking lie?! ...and check out the requirements they pretended they wanted met -
Oh, the hypocrisy!

House panel votes to constrain Afghan drawdown, ask for assessment on 'incentives' to attack US troops
Kheel - 07/01/20

The House Armed Services Committee voted Wednesday to put roadblocks on President Trump’s ability to withdraw from Afghanistan, including requiring an assessment on whether any country has offered incentives for the Taliban to attack U.S. and coalition troops.

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) amendment, from Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.), would require several certifications before the U.S. military can further draw down in Afghanistan.

The amendment was approved 45-11….

The amendment also comes amid a firestorm in Washington over intelligence showing a Russian military unit offered bounties to Taliban-linked*militias to kill U.S. and coalition*service members in Afghanistan.

Among the amendment’s requirements is an assessment of whether any “state actors have provided any incentives to the Taliban, their affiliates, or other foreign terrorist organizations for attacks against United States, coalition, or Afghan security forces or civilians in Afghanistan in the last two years, including the details of any attacks believed to have been connected with such incentives.”

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) framed the measure as particularly important in light of the revelations.

“There's been bipartisan criticism of what a weak deal [Trump] got with the Taliban, a deal that is already falling apart,” Moulton said. “Now we learned that he was making this deal at the same time as there were bounties on the heads of American troops, American sons and daughters. We clearly need more oversight over what the president is doing in Afghanistan.”

Crow’s amendment would block funding to dip below 8,000 troops and then again to below 4,000 troops unless the administration certifies that doing so would not compromise the U.S. counterterrorism mission in Afghanistan, not increase risk for U.S. personnel there, be done in consultation with allies, and is in the best interest of the United States.

It would also require an analysis on the effects of a drawdown on the threat from the Taliban, the status of human and civil rights, an inclusive Afghan peace process, the capacity of Afghan forces and the effect of malign actors on Afghan sovereignty.

Had that thought myself.

Trump certainly did have the balls to do it. Democrats plus Cheney tied his hands and made up lies to stop him.

Wait, the president is commander in chief, right? The president gives the orders, right? So, the Trump presidency was a committee of unidentified Democrats and a bratty neocon pundit?

If there was no opposition, he wouldn't have needed the cojones he did not display.

Trump set the date - Biden extended it, so that he could purposely screw it up. Why, well, maybe we will find out.

As a corollary to that, Trump purposely set a date which would fall within Biden's presidency, so that Biden could purposely screw it up.

But why did Trump want Biden to do that? I doubt we will find out.

Oh. So then it was Biden who was effective in overcoming that opposition within his own government, which Trump wasn't effective in overcoming.

Kinda still sounds like Trump being the one lacking the balls that Biden had.

I was going to say the same thing but are torn between how much he had the balls and how much was he really on the same side of the Neocons. He populated his cabinet and his endorsements are all Neocons that opposed his platform. If he was re-elected he would have reversed course after weeks of news media outrage from the right.

Anyway the complaints now from the right and left are to usher in who they really want and will comply with all their interventionism. Kamala Harris. They are really setting things up nicely for this outcome and the duped are falling for it as demonstrated in the latest polls.

52% of Voters Think Biden Should Resign Over Afghanistan Withdrawal

Nothing is ever what it seems to be. The pundits on both sides and their politicians in/out of office are all serial liars. It is all just one big sham.

Except Biden never had any opposition to overcome. Opposition was only for Trump. Intelligence concocted a bald-faced lie that took over the entire news cycle for at least a week, overshadowing everything else. That's the basis they used for passing an amendment to block his ability to withdraw. They needed that lie to cast doubt on the public's support for withdrawal. If they hadn't kept blocking him, would he have had to move the exit beyond his first term?
“There's been bipartisan criticism of what a weak deal [Trump] got with the Taliban, a deal that is already falling apart,” Moulton said. “Now we learned that he was making this deal at the same time as there were bounties on the heads of American troops, American sons and daughters. 45 people voted for that ammendment to tie Trumps hands, but where were all their concerns after Biden got in? The risk to US personnel, consulting our allies, "American sons and daughters", "human & civil rights" - NONE of that mattered anymore. They turned their backs on the situation because in truth, they never cared about the mess or the Americans they sent there. They only cared about preventing Trump from accomplishing a task that would make him look better than them. Those 45 persons should have the balls to get up now and explain themselves. Instead, everyones just forgotten about this and their many other treacheries.

With this mess, I expect them to find a way to send troops back in there before long. How many deaths will it require? and who will they let die in order to rally public support? Will it be real? or more fake intelligence/lies?

I wonder how much control Trump ever really had over the military.

the military command is so heavily politicized now, the precedents being set should be alarming to everyone regardless of political affiliation.

Yes they should. But the thing that makes traps work is not the trap, it's the bait. And political traps use the most irresistible bait of all:

EM.

That's a very strong charge and greatly underestimates capacity for lack of thoughtful planning and a cluster mess of 20 years lies and incompetence culminating near the end.

Does he have balls? Or is he just following orders?

Balls or no, I see no sign of brains. Peruse if you will the gifts you just gave the Taliban, taxpayer:
