I think in the West and in America people have gone through some strange phases. For a while it seemed like Individualist Thinking was promoted through pursuit of knowledge in literature, arts, sciences, or politics. People were perhaps more likely to be introspective when thinking about the world, their place in it, and what achievements they might pursue.

But because Electronic Media has brought people so close together I think many have actually returned to a very Tribal nature.

Here's the good news. These are the people that do what the government tells them to do. Which means when the time comes, they'll be disarmed.
