Anarcho Capitalism vs Minarchism

What kind of Libertarian are you?

Actually there would be room for the "camp" to grow - just buy more land from the federal and state governments (and if you anarchists were smart, you'd buy a large enough zone in the first place not to feel cramped).

This would require that the minarchist state do something which has never been done before in the history of mankind - it requires a state to voluntarily give up ownership of land.
There have been historical cases of statelessness. And there have been historical cases of people actually being able to own property without having to pay rent to the state, though that true property right predates the state that claimed violent monopoly over those landowners.
So there is literally, in fact, less evidence to support the idea that a state would engage in an "anarchy experiment" than there is evidence that people can find a way to cast off the state altogether.

All it takes is for enough people to want to. Once people realize how good life is without the state, they won't be lining up in voting booths to invite it back.
And as I've said often, yes, there is an Achilles' Heel to statelessness... the fact that the state will not rest until statelessness is stamped out. The state can't handle statelessness, and is willing to commit bona fide atrocities to stamp it out.
That's statism's ultimate and best argument: accept statism, or statism is going to kick in your door, murder your wife, rape your children, and burn your house to the ground.
And after you accept statism, eventually you're going to be paying for statism's agents to do that to other people. But it won't be you, so relent.

It's a compelling argument, no? But you'll forgive me if I don't buy into it, won't you?

If someone supports government intervention in something other than military, courts, and police they aren't really minarchists proper.

I contend that since you include police, you are not a minarchist proper.
If there is one single, solitary, only feature of the state that I had to choose as the best representative of a program we absolutely don't need yet have all been brainwashed into accepting, it's the cops.
They embody everything that is the antithesis of minarchy.

If you want a state, and you don't want a police state, then the math on that is pretty elementary.
