An official campaign statement about the racism allegations would be good

No. If something is false you ignore it. The media isn't talking about it so let it go.

No statement needed. Folks, this is how political correctness is enforced.

  • The media dredges up ancient and out of context quotes and asks for an explanation.
  • If you explain, the media lays more pressure on you for an apology.
  • The pressure builds and builds until your message is lost.
  • You apologize and that is all that gets played in the media.

One of the reasons Paul speaks to me is that his message is unfiltered; he says what he believes, undistilled by PC.

Lets not become the media's PC enforcers.

I absolutely disagree. Paul needs the support of the moderates, and if the campaign does not come out forcefully against this smear, there will be too many people who believe it is true.

I do not expect Paul to apologize. I expect him to state before all the world that he did not write those newsletters and that they in no way reflect his beliefs.

This smear will stick like white on rice.
