The republican nomination process is not like a football, basketball or hockey game.
So many of us buy into the media narrative and because these are the top 3 American sports, we are fixated on getting a win, because that is all sexy and nice. But not the end goal. Remember it's about the war, not the individual battles.
The best sports analogy I can use is auto racing. Let's take the Formula One Championship. There you get points for finishing from 1st to 10th. How do you win the Championship at the end of the season? By amassing the most points. Can you win the Championship without ever finishing 1st? Sure.
If you can't wrap your head around that, then think about a regular season to playoffs analogy. If you've lost the first 8 games in the season (of a 55 game schedule), do you give up, take your ball, go home, and wet over yourself?
Or do you take the lessons you learned from those first 8 losses, buck up, and finish the season and see where you go? Remember the Giants reached the Super Bowl (and won) with a 9-7 record. Did they forfeit the season when they were slumping? Or did they keep battling?
And here we are not even 1/3 of the way through.
Now in this case, we are in a race for delegates. How do you win the nomination at the end of the primary season? By amassing the most delegates.
Remember we still get points (delegates) even though we don't finish first.
AND
We have a big advantage over the other teams. In the caucus states, it's already been established that Dr. Paul has the organization at the grassroots level to get a majority of the delegates at the precinct level. It's obvious that as they move their way up the system and are organized, that they will dominate at the state level and control most if not all of the delegates in the caucus states. We forget how much of this is a game-changer and we need to remind ourselves of that.
Remember the establishment WANT you to give up. They WANT you to be demoralized. They WANT you to quit.
Do you want to give it to them that easily?
Nothing worthwhile in life is easy. And everything worthwhile in life is worth fighting for.
So will you keep your eye on the ball, and keep fighting?
NO SURRENDER AND NO QUIT!
