Americans OVERWHELMINGLY Oppose War With Iran - New Poll!

"According to a new Economist/YouGov poll, nearly two-thirds of Americans - including a majority of Republicans - oppose getting militarily involved in the Israel-Iran war. It is clear that the American people expect the "peace" president they thought they elected to remain true to his election promises. Will Trump listen to his base, or will he listen to the same neocons who lied us into Iraq?

In these situations, the strategy is to go to war first, and then use the fact that we're at war as an aid to propagandize the public into supporting the troops.

Trump is a lame duck, and he's thinking more about his long term legacy.

The most important factor in catapulting any president into the status of being remembered decades later as a great president is leading the country in a time of war. The bigger the war the better. If Trump wants to join the ranks of Washington, Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson--and he does--then he needs a big war.

Viewed from a distance of enough time, all the ephemeral little pecadillos that Trump was allegedly hated for by his enemies when he was president will be forgotten. Even now, nobody really knows or understands what any of those things were. But leading us in a time of war will be part of his legacy forever.

Before wars begin, the prospect of getting into them is never popular. But for purposes of a president's historical legacy, war is always popular.

80% of Americans opposed the war in Iraq.

A lot of good it did us. We are ruled by a band of brigands and pirates that have couped Washington, DC.

As I understand it Trump follows the news every day. So if he thinks bombing will make him unpopular he won't do it.

Manufacturing consent in the modern era is becoming increasingly difficult.

Expect more attempts at censorship.

The really interesting part in current events are the moves of the pawns. If my assessment of current events is correct, the world is done with the USA's bullying (coercion) and the result will be horrific for the world and especially the warmongers in the USA's federal congress. Time for their sons and daughters to die as well. Seek entombment in those bunkers, federales.

Absolutely. Like Israeli citizens getting belligerent with their own government when they catch them in the streets. Oy vey, are you crazy?

But the knights and rooks are interesting too. Putin, Pakistan and China seem to be riding waves of approval. But with the public openly discussing where the false flag might come, Trump's like a queen surrounded by her own pawns and can't move. And European PMs have to kiss Muslim ass now, so the bishops beside her are no better off. Hell, how useful NATO will be is best illustrated by noting that it's biggest army is Turkey, and certainly won't be rushing to Bibi's defense. Demanding that of Turkey would break up NATO.
