American Based Companies that will profit under a weakened dollar?

Given the dollar continues its downward spiral and inflation begins to really take its toll on our economy, will American based companies still profit if their business is focused on commodities? Or, despite their business in what the economy demands, gold mining for example, will they still fail to overcome the effect inflation will have on the dollar in which they denominate their profits in?

What companies can overcome this if any? Should one just invest in these industries through non-US exchanges?

Thanks!

Companies that focus on exports, or that can be easily retooled to focus on exports will do better than others.

I can't say how they will do in the grand scheme of things. They'll probably be destroyed with "windfall" taxes by an increasingly desperate government.

Low end winemakers will do well. Carmakers to a certain extent, probably Ford. Oil companies because they always do well when the price of oil goes up. Why that works is often a mystery but it does happen. International travel to certain American cities should pick up, but the Patriot Act, et all is still scaring a lot of wealthy foreigners away from the American police state.

lol. It's true. I know it's not funny, but sometimes all I can do is laugh and shake my head at what this country has become.

I would guess the travel industry would prosper. People vacationing to the United States to take advantage of "Sale Prices".
