Amazing speech given to Green Bay, WI Tea-o-con group

"He was a principle author of the scientific treatise showing abortion has never been necessary to save the life of the mother." Where can I see this?

Make sure to read the bottom if you get lost in the scholarly lingo:

Dr. Paul the scientist

I was browsing through the medical literature to see if Dr. Paul had published any scientific papers, and I found one. (from lpedia.org). Usually during residency training, scientifically-minded physicians often work on a research paper, which is published either during their training, or soon after. Ron Paul is the chief author of this paper, meaning it was his work, and that he wrote most if not all of the paper. Here is the link to his scientific paper, which is published in the prestigious journal "Obstetrics and Gynecology" in 1969.

Abstract

Percutaneous renal biopsies obtained during the immediate postpartum period from 57 subjects who had been hypertensive during pregnancy were studied by pathologists who had no knowledge of the clinical data. Although the degree of glomerular endotheliosis, mesangiosis, and basement membrane deposits showed some correlation with the clinical severity of the hypertension and toxemia, there was a wide range of observed tissue changes. It is concluded that such renal alterations are suggestive but not pathognomonic of preeclampsiaeclampsia.

Basically, "eclampsia" and "toxemia" are complications of pregnancy where blood pressure goes up, and sudden changes happen that threaten the life of both fetus and mother, and often emergency delivery is required. The cause was unknown in 1969, and remains unknown. In this paper Dr. Paul looked at biopsy-changes in the kidneys in such patients. So this is another aspect of Dr. Paul that perhaps people were not aware of. It shows how clearly he is in a different category than the other politicians running.

TG: In English, this means that Dr. Paul is one of the world's foremost experts on whether abortion is needed to save the life of the mother, and, 40 years later, he says:

{{ In 40 years of medical practice, I never once considered performing an abortion, nor did I ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman. }}

But Cain is the pro-life candidate, eh?

As for Israel, a Christian has the right to support Israel if he wants to. What he doesn’t have the right to do is support them with other people’s money. That’s called stealing. That’s the same thing we criticize socialists for. Here is where social conservatives become conservative socialists.

Amazing use of the antimetabole rhetorical technique. You can see how effective it is at proving a point. It would be great if there were a video of this speech. The writer sounds like a truly great orator.
