One thing to keep in mind is that not all these searches are POSITIVE... For example, there's that "ron paul racist" search string, which is most likely a product of the media spin regarding the newsletters. So people are definitely searching, but is it necessarily good, or does it necessarily translate into votes? That's a different question.

Good point. You could probably correlate the activity to when the media was conducting its smear campaign.
