a guy comes into my office today, and we start talking politics.... i ask him what his take on ron paul was, he replies oh i like ron paul ALOT!!! he starts telling me his teake on how we can put this country back on the right path... he then goes on to tell me that we must end the federal reserve, stop the wars, stop sending money in foreign aid to foreign countries. after talking for a good half hour, i ask this guy finally who is he going to vote for? his reply MITT ROMNEY!!!

Should have asked him is that how he chooses his food in the cafeteria.

Yeah, that kind of thing is sad. I still blame the media though as the root cause and pushing the 'vote for anyone but Paul since he can't win' meme.

i politely told him that its because of people like him why ron paul polls so low!! if everyone voted for the person they liked the best ron paul would run away with this... im still amazed and shocked that he replied mitt romney!! i cant believe it!!! he said i dont want to "waste" my vote.... i still cant believe it!!! this is unreal!!

He is wasting his vote.. Romney will be decimated by Obama

This is what I've been saying! This is the main problem I've been seeing. The media knew what it was doing.

You should tell him Obama just said during his press conference he hopes Romney wins. Seriously

I'm paraphrasing but maybe someone YouTubed it. A reporter asked him about Romney today. Obama responded: I hope he does well. Seriously! I hope he does really well.

Even Obama knows he can beat Romney.

A very sad LOL is in order. I speak with people and they indentify all of Ron Paul's positions and when I then ask if they are voting for Paul, they tell me "no, he's crazy." Unreal.

It's a simple reason - viability. This is why it is extremely important to win and to win early. A lesson we should have learned in 08, but it is a lesson that we hopefully have learned well this time and will take with us for the next time.

I think we tried very hard to do that, tbone.

A huge percentage of people vote on the leader, totally regardless of their own beliefs.
If there is an online poll they will first check the results to see who is winning and then cast their vote for that choice.

Say what? He's against the wars and he's going to vote for someone other than Ron Paul? Why? I mean really what difference does he think his vote makes then? Is he just voting to thwart Santorum? :(

he does not think ron paul has a shot to win, and based on that sole reason does not want to feel like he wasted his vote on someone who cant win.

Yeah well, there are a lot of observations I have on that, but I will save them for another time.

Probably the same observations I have. One would have to be blind, dumb and stupid to not see them.

bah . . . you keep claiming about next time before this time is even up and about lesson's learned . . . .

I think the lesson learned is too many people are just plain quitters and whiners. Too many people want it easy, rather than vote or actually live their life with principle they will take what is easy.

The old American spirit used to be never say die, never quit, never give in, never compromise. Now it's about following the crowd, I'll vote for so-and-so b/c everyone else is. Or it doesn't look good, so I'll quit now . . . We are completely losing that independent spirit that made America great. The "I'd don't give a hoot-in-hades what you think", this is what I believe and this is what I'm going to do. Now if you can convince me I'm wrong, I'll change, otherwise get out of my way.

I would love to live in a nation where people know that voting is not a bet, it's not playing the stock market, it's not deciding homecoming royalty, in fact it's not worth much at all if you don't vote for someone who represents you

A vote for anyone but Paul is a vote for the STATUS QUO. Simple as that. I guess these people like what's being done to them. Weird.
