I have to wonder what Ron is thinking with all this. I don't think hes come out with any statements about Amash.
In which Justin Amash explains to glue sniffers that just because you have the right to do something in a free society doesn't mean it is smart.
Go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
That is an ineffective strategyWe need to win the hearts and minds of the average citizen

I don't see guys in tactical gear with long guns in that picture or am I missing something?
Having the right image can do wonder to a movement. Do you think Rosa Parks was the first person to defy the sitting orders during the civil right era? The civil right leaders waited for the right candidate that is relatable to the people to spring their attack. I hate to break it to you but people wielding long rifles and protesting the lock down will turn people off. The same goes with people fly the confederate flag and Trump flag.

There were dozens,, most folks had sidearms..
It grew out of a 2 Amendment rally that was cancelled due to the Cold..
Previous Rallies in Washington and Virginia (and elsewhere) were covered in the media as well as this forum..
What in the actual $#@! is going on with Amash? His actions are bewildering and I can't make any sense of it. I can't tell if hes showing his true colors or if he's being blackmailed.
"No one is a bigger defender of the Second Amendment than yours truly," Hannity said. "Everyone has the right to protest, protect themselves and try to get the country open. This, with the militia look here and these long guns, no. Show of force is dangerous. That puts our police at risk and by the way, your message will never be heard, whoever you people are."
Some Michigan officials, including Republicans, have criticized the Thursday demonstration.
Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Clarklake, said many people protested "safely and responsibly" but several others used "intimidation and the threat of physical harm to stir up fear and feed rancor."
"Their actions hurt their cause and steal from the rights of others by creating an environment where responsible citizens do not feel safe enough to express themselves," Shirkey said.
your message will never be heard

Nothing wrong with a sidearm. I just think open carrying a long gun at a protest like this draws attention from the issue you are protesting.
If this current mess turns out to be the end, I would be part of the 3% and carry a rifle in the fight. I don't think we are there yet.
