Am I the only one pondering the bliss of apathy?

Some times I look back and think I was much happier before I did the research and found out what was really happening to our country (took the red pill). The thing is though I have taken the red pill and the truth is ignorance is not really bliss, ignorance is just ignorance and the the people that took the red pill takers look at the blue pill takers and they just see an ignoramus, would you want to be an ignoramus?

Long term multi year plan rests with the young people.

Don't want to be a wet blanket, but there is not much 'long-term' left. With the current lunatics in power and with Hilary following suit, it'll be a miracle if we make it to the next election.

That was addressed in the matrix to with the dude that wanted back in the matrix.

Saving the world is an awesome burden to carry everyday. Can't blame a guy from needing mini breaks. It's a triathalon we are competing in....not a sprint :p

+1

We're in this for the long haul. As Ron has said, "the Revolution will go on" even after his candidacy is through. We must wake our friends, family, and neighbors one at a time, and stay positive and thinking long-term.

Cynicism and polarization has caused MANY (and I mean MANY) Americans to think that the ONLY alternative to one party that they have grown to hate is to vote for the other party. It's like saying if Coca-Cola and Pepsi were the ONLY drinks available...no water, no beer, etc. people would be forced to pick between one or the other. It's merely one step below a dictatorship, where the ruling body could siphon time and money from the ENTIRE population. Polarizing people to two ends of the spectrum guarantees each side gets roughly half the share of the population's resources.

I was down a little over all the hard work done in SC and the 4%. But as I look back, I have seen signs of good things. There are some young individualists out there who aren't going away.
I have resigned myself to the fact the repubs are going to let this thing unwind and self-destruct in a 1984 Mondale like beating. The party will self-destruct as soon as the fractured sides of the old 'Reagan coalition' finish dragging each other through the mud this cycle.
We should keep getting the message out there and hope the energy we all didn't know we had can be used to recreate a more vibrant hopeful organization that caters to the future and doesn't dwell in the past.

On to Georgia as I still have some spare overpass signs,

Joe
